Hello everyone,
for those who dont know me, my introduction can be found here. I would like to make a list of Forum for or that have a section for Old Games / Old Gamers. GoG give us some of our best gaming memories back so, why wouldn't we do the same by registering on those forums, add the GoG userbar linked to the site in our signature :)
I will soon post what you need to add to your signature to show the userbars :)

So what you're telling me is that you want to spam advertisements to other forums in your sig, and you want everyone else to do the same thing? Yea, that'll last about as long as you will.

It is not a userbar in a signature that will hurt anyone and, if yeah, you troll just that people see your signature, it would be spamming but, if, for one, you and others participate in those forum, you may end up back here with new ideas of games that should be on GoG and you may also help someone that is looking for a game that is already in the catalogue here.
There is always 2 way to do something, the good way AND the bad way. Everyone make their own choice of how they want to do it but I agree, spamming is not the right one.

You're right, there is a good way and bad way to do things and this strikes me as a bad way. If anyone is interested in joining a forum for the sake of participating in it, sure, why not add the GOG userbar to your sig, there's nothing wrong with that. But if you are asking people to join these forums just for the sake of showing off GOG without actually wanting to be a part of that forum's community... that is the definition of spamming and we should not be encouraging it.
BTW - This forum does not support images in message, you can attach images, but not insert them within the message itself.

Once again, I dont ask peeps to join just to join and spam GoG. What I am trying to say is that, first, it is obvious that those who are here like old games so, why not have a list of other forum that talk about old games or that are for older gamers. Not only can you be reminded of a game you enjoyed back then and would like to see here but, you can also help others on those forums that are looking for games that are already here. As for the userbar in the signature, first, it does no harm and it is much better than many things I have seen before, second, it can once again point other people here and make them discover it, third, the more that buy games here, the wealthier will GoG get and the more game will they be able to make DRM free :). Finaly, if you look here, even GoG ask us to spread the word.

Why the heck would this be a bad idea, as long as GoG staff approves... Joining communities with similar way of thinking was never a bad thing, I don't see how it got bad now and I sure as hell would like to see links to another 'old games' communities, and I'm pretty damn sure everyone in those would like to know about GoG.

yeah, I had a lot of meaning when I posted the link to GOG's own place to get the tools to spam other places.
Mostly, that GOG wants you to inform as many people as possible about DRM free gaming for cheap.

I think a list of old game forums is a great idea.
I didn't see the word "mandatory" use anywhere . . . . so . . . would like to see some other old game forums listed . . . =)
