Hehehehe. I remember playing the original Metroid on original hardware and I didn't have a map :P

Step it up :P

katsaysmeh: I joined the NES party waaay too late, because I wasn't even born when the console came out, so when I got a used one with a few games (including Metroid), I drew a map of the game. Tons of work, but made it a lot easier... I guess.

The map someone else posted looks a lot better though. :D

Imho all NES games are pretty tough, except for Kirby's Adventure (is that the name) maybe. I recently bought Castlevania III. Help.
Castlevania III, yes, another glorious game from the NES era :) Use Grant as much as you can as he's the one to use during those levels that move up on their own.

Also, Grant is the only one that can walk outside the bounds of the levels at times :)

CharlesGrey: *raises hand* I have vague memories of doing the same. Except I kinda sucked at it back then. :(

The first Castlevania, as well. I think I still have the cartridge lying around somewhere...
I sucked, kind of, back then as well but I persevered and that's what counted most in the old NES games: perseverance :D
