If you:
* clear your browsers cookies
* use a different browser on the same computer
* use a different computer
you will have to re-enter the beta invite code, and then log in again. After the closed beta finishes, and the site will be available to everyone the whole beta code annoyance will be over. But every time one of above mentioned points will happen you will have to log in again.
There is no any other way to store your login/password/betakey than in a cookie.
