This is an obvious case of wall hax.
Honestly, if it wasn't for Arcanum, I would be a bit let down too. They did make it sound like a bit more would be released. Arcanum is a great RPG, but non-RPG fans didn't get much to get excited about. I understand why GoG is doing it from a business perspective, but as a consumer, I would have liked to see more, if they hadn't released Arcanum.
I rather wait a week than have a game rushed to be released, i like the way the GOG staff checks their installers/dosbox/setups before putting a game up for us to download. Besides, the knowing there's going to be something new released every week, sometimes twice a week, is what keeps people like me coming back to this website every now and then. Otherwise i would just buy and download everything in one go and be done with it for months at a time. It's good business practice.
Of course, that is just my humble opinion, to each it's own.

The countdown was NOT the release of any game but the announcement of Activision (A Big Fish in the pond of publishers) coming to GOG. They can't release a game everyone will love and they have to start somewhere. There are weeks when I don't care for whats released or discounted for the weekend. Just be patient you will see something you like Activision has plenty for all.

The announcement wasn't a letdown. That apparently we won't get a game today is though.
GoG work their butts off to get us great releases, especially now that they got Activision on-board. And to show your gratitute you whine. Twat.

They're whining BECAUSE THEY WANT TO SPEND THEIR MONEY ON NEW GOG PRODUCTS!
That's the best kind of whining a company could hope for.
Eating my words here.
Another rude troll:(
A shame, really. I remember him being nicer last time.
Before this thread gets any more immature, let me just say...
I KNOW YOU ARE BUT WHAT AM I !!! (+infinity)
If you're really that letdown and you wanted more AND a sale, then why not wait till next Christmas? They will have tons of new games by then and the promotional sale you also wanted. That's what I'm going to do, or at least wait for a 50% off sale on a few select titles (whatever they decide to put on sale). I'm hardly disappointed though.
I would feel kinda bad, waiting around like a vulture to pick at the sales when GOG puts so much work into fixing these games to run on modern systems, but the sales just means I end up spending more than I would normally anyway. There's been a bunch of games I normally wouldn't have purchased, like the Fallout games (because I already have them) and the Might & Magic collection (because I've never liked the M&M series, and prefer the Heroes of M&M games).
Anyway, if you want promotions then simply wait for them. And if you simply can't wait.. then go ahead and buy a game.
