I'm having trouble deciding if I want to get this bundle. After reading up on The Void, it sounds like it's a little too scary and frustrating for me. However, I am interested in the smaller games, like Dead Pixels, 1000 Amps, Laser Cat, and AirMech.

For various reasons, I can only buy one bundle of games per month.

Please just give me your opinion: should I buy this bundle or wait and hope that the Junebug bundle is good?

I would say that the main selling point of this bundle is The Void. 1000 Amps and LaserCat are not bad games, especially if you like 8 bit 2D platformers, but neither do I think they are very original (and I finished LaserCat in about 42 min...sweet but a bit short) . 1000 Amps gameplay can actually make it frustrating to play. Dead Pixel I only found as a short time waster, not sure I will be coming back to it at all. AirMech will be FTP, so it should not really be in the equation...

So - is it worth it without The Void? not sure, depends on how much you would like 1000 Amps and LaserCat

Waiting for June Bug - impossible to say without any hints of what may be in it.

Conclusion - Get HIB

Depends on what interests you about the smaller games. I haven't tried Airmech yet, and didn't play a lot of 1000 Amps because it's a flash game and runs slow on my netbook. I've played a bit of Dead Pixels and it's okay, but nothing special, it didn't hold my interest for long. So far I've had the most fun with Laser Cat, but like amok said, it's very short and not that original. A bit like VVVVVV without the gravity gimmick and with much easier challenges, and strangely enough, some trivia questions thrown into the mix, in addition to the arcade-style gameplay. Good for killing some time and it's fun while it lasts, but it's nothing to write home about, certainly not a must-play.

IMO, some of Indie Royale's past bundles were much more interesting regarding the small games (e.g. the Soulcaster games were really nice, and I liked most of the titles from Radiangames, like Super Crossfire, Slydris and Inferno+, or Fractal: Make Blooms not War, but of course YMMV). So the chances that the next bundle offers more appealing games aren't that bad. I don't regret getting this one, but that's mainly because I'm interested in The Void. The small games are just bonus stuff in my eyes, there's no real revelation among them.

Leroux: Another game has been unlocked and added to the bundle: "Ichi", apparantly a small puzzle game.

SirPrimalform: Just in case anyone else got caught by this, you have to re-add your Desura key to get it to show up on Desura.
Strange, I'm pretty sure I downloaded a DRM-free version of Ichi directly from the bundle's download page, but apparantly they removed it and you can only redeem it on Desura now, together with the other games.

Pretty sure I saw a download too... weird.

EDIT: Just had a look and there is a download. Mystery solved. It wouldn't have made that much of a difference anyway, since if you redeem it on Desura then you can download an installer from the site.

yes, I did not download it through Desura (could not get it to show up at the time...) but still have the the DRM free stand-alone installer on my system, so it was there.

See my edit. It was just Leroux going crazy. ;)
Airmech is just a multiplayer game, or is is also single player ?

Nah, it was actually gone for a while, I swear! At least in my account. Maybe it was a glitch or something. It would have made a small difference because with that code you'd have redeemed all the other games as well and I believe it would have required a Desura account (or the creation of one). Anyway, seems like a moot point now, and it was kind of a moot point for me personally, too, since I have a Desura account and wasn't planning on giving away any bundle codes. I just wondered what that was about. ;)

Dead Pixels Steam keys added to those who got this bundle.
