SirPrimalform: While I wouldn't assume that, it comes across that way with no explanation.

Zchinque: In either case, do you object to me hammering?

Small children are quite something on Christmas eve, I must say.
Remember to baste them or else they'll burn.
The votes? Oh we had worked out a system you see!
The majority would have to make a decision on who to test. That was the best way to flush out who was working together. That was the logic anyway.

So at that moment.... let me think....

Telika had been voted for by flubbucket
JMich had been voted for by QuadrAlien and nmillar and red_baron
Flubbucket had been voted for by nobody.
QuadrAlien had been voted for by nobody.
Robbeasy had been voted for by nobody
Vitek had been voted for by nobody.
p1na had been voted for by nobody.
amok had been voted for by nobody.
DarkoD13 had been voted for by nobody.
CSPVG had been voted for by nobody.
jacobbama had been voted for by nobody.
SirPrimalform had been voted for by DarkoD13
nmillar had been voted for by nobody.
Red_Baron had been voted for by Vitek
and, yes!
Zchinque had been voted for by amok

meaning that JMich was just FIVE votes away from a majority vote!!! My heart was in my mouth!
While that was going on Telika, JMich, P1na, CSPVG, jacobbama, SirPrimalform, Zchinque and Robbeasy were conspicuous in that they had voted for nobody at all!

SirPrimalform: Any particular reason?
That was a bit stupid question, don't you think?
It looks like asking only for sake of asking.

He of course can have anti-town reason for it, but it is clear why he asks for it.

Miss Bianchi, could you please remind us everyone who was there at the party and how many of you were there?
My numbers are still not working and unless there is unmentioned zombie doctor/ski instructor or child as main course running around then miss Bianchi is omitting someone.

I am enjoying holidays right now and I hope rest of you do to.

amok: Where? So far no roles have been mentioned, unless it was so subtle that I missed it. It has only been likes/dislikes.
avatar
Zchinque: and that's role info.
any particular reason you think is not safe to disclose? Certainly the only thing it can do is start helping to figure out the killers... or not... never been good at those puzzles.

I guess I can shed some light on this. My character is not mentioned in the opening post. While I find it very possible that we have a lyncher and/or hitman in the game, I feel I have reasons to speculate that I won't be among their targets, so revealing that shouldn't hurt any.

Also, so long as no one objects to me hammering, I shall assume that you're fine with it and I will be very cross if someone hammers in my stead.

JoeSapphire: Zchinque had been voted for by P1na
Wait, what? When did I do that?

Whatever. I'm sure I had my reasons. Let's vote Zchinque, there are no boobs there (as far as I know). And that's the antagonist after all, which means scum by my book.

Right, but I think to simply go along with it without questioning it is weird and dangerous.

I'll not idly stand by and let you call him weird.

Oh nevermind.... I missed the Vitek part....:p
Interesting info from Zchinque right there - In any case I agree to the hammering, following some consensus about it first).

JMich post 58: So your asking for names now? When most have only revealed dislike/like's - interesting.

Red_Baron: JMich post 58: So your asking for names now? When most have only revealed dislike/like's - interesting.
Seems like your memory isn't what it used to be my dear, or is it that you are ignoring me on purpose? I did ask if we should re-introduce ourselves earlier on, since I'm not sure I recall all your faces (or I want to recall them). And as I said back then, there does seem to be someone missing.

No worries, I'm just going to grab a bit more punch.
Will be pinned back on my computer tonight. For now, just this. Be scum. Read the name, info, clue things. Think of how it helps you and what would help you more. Be town. Do the same. Then, read posts. See who was (or is) most eager to what, for what consequence in the light of which perspective.

My personal read is - two potential roles in the list of names. Makes two mafia hunt target. Hunt would go through names but also likes (contriguting to 'i am not'). Makes all claims more directly promafia than protown, for now.
The names obviously, the likes somewhat.

Hypocritically, i'm happy that this info is out, it makes stuff to think about. But i'm also a tad worried, and interested in those who see no problem in it. I'd advise against further names, and also against further likes (especially if they concern the inspector or the magician, as this would work like a 'not me' claim). I also highly suspect jmich, also he often starts games by following trains of thoughts I find scummy, and can become an easy mislynch target because of it.

That's why i'm still interested in people expanding on the reasons why they decide to better share info than not, and how they think it would harm one side rather than the other

And lastly, i'm aware that my own reservations are mostly based on the thought that the namelist professions would relate to town roles, which may be wrong on both levels (not necessarily roles, not necessarily town). Maybe I worry exagerately about that. Still, the fact it, it's the main angle of my reading of the situation. And therefore, of people's positions so far.

I think that the game is build around a logical puzzle mystery, with 3 killers (who I assume is the mafia). If this is so, and well constructed, it means that if we have all the clues and likes/dislikes we can try to figure out who the 3 killers are, and can string them up.

Not sure how to expand it any more, but since we are only allowed to to discuss this on day 1, then I see no reason to not do so and I can only see the benefits from it. I do not see how disclosing the likes/dislikes or clues have any impact on own roles, as I do not think roles are linked to names (they all seem pretty generic to me). I do think that figuring out who the killers are certainly would only harm mafia and be beneficial to town?

Well didn't you wear your smarty knickers to the party tonight.

Now why hasn't someone noticed that my glass is empty??

So, on your side, no reservations towards amok's position ? I may write you down as holding the same stance ?

(In the meantime, I also find the zchinque thing very curious. Has anyone any experience of what kind of benefit can be associated to hammering actions, in different roles/settings ? Is it a total joe thing, or is there a basis on which to speculate on the probability for it to lead to a town or scum advantage ? Or even to be an absolutely neutral thing...)
