I love that the Shining Force games are on steam. are there any RPG games similar to Shining Force on GOG or steam? or maybe some stratagy games I should play? I don't think I have ever even played a stratagy game since I usually play RPG or adventure games, but since Shining Force does have the turn based style that it looks like stratagy games have maybe I should try them? any RPG or stratagy recomendations for a Shining Force fan would be great, but preferably games that are available on GOG or steam. thanks!

That particular style of SRPG is usually not seen on computers, which is a real shame, because I do enjoy games like Shining Force & Fire Emblem.

That being said, if you are looking for a tactics game with strong CRPG elements, then you have to try out Jagged Alliance 2, one of the best, if not THE best game of the genre. Fallout Tactics might also tickle your fancy, as might the UFO: After*** series.

I have been eying Jagged Alliance since I joined GOG not too long ago...do you recomend me skipping the first one and starting with part 2? if so, why? thanks!

I have not actually played Jagged Alliance 2, but most people seem to think that 2 is a lot better, and that you don't have to have played the first one, the story connection is there, but it is not a strong one (though the first one is still supposed to be pretty good, it is just that very few games are as good as Jagged Alliance 2)
