Well, since Valve-Time means "Portal 2" (Or whatever they decide to call it) will be released... oh, 1, 2, 3 years away from the first game...
I really want more portal that is not a map or map-pack that relies on split-second timing and having to be in an exact location(s) to even get near the end. Here is hoping! It looks pretty polished :}
Seriously, the bunch of you who can do all that crazy twitch play method, respect! But aside from the whole aesthetic and gameplay type, the slow pacing (compared to say, HL2&TF2) of the original Portal was much <3

Turns out they have had contact from Valve regards this and it seems Valve are happy.

A lot of people are saying 'look out for Portal 2!' what those people don't realize is that the next Portal game to come out, will probably be Half-Life 2 Episode 3 (they've said numerous times that Portal is in the Half-Life 2 universe and that they will be appearing together). The new Portal game we will see from them is going to be a pre-quel. Which is why many people were concerned about those guys making that mod.
Valve is friendly about it, because they've always looked to the modding community for talent.
Garrys Mod and Counter-Strike were both user created mods, until Valve said 'lol want a jerb?'
The absolute worst thing that could happen from them making a mod and completing it, is it sucking balls and no one playing it.
