Not all snitches get stitches.

Outlast: Whistleblower DLC, an expansion to the original tale of horror that expands upon the beginning and stretches beyond the first game, is now available on GOG.com for just $8.99. The original game Outlast" is required to play and is now available for $6.79 (a 66% discount) until 10:59 AM GMT on 11 May 2014.

In Outlast we learned that the remote, snow-capped mountains of Colorado are more than just a tourist attraction for skiers. Terrible secrets lurk in a long-abandoned home for the mentally ill. The Murkoff Corporation, operating under the guise of "research and charity", has been carrying out top secret experiments in the asylum so horrifying that even H.P. Lovecraft's hair would go white with shock.

Outlast: Whistleblower DLC is an expansion to a first-person perspective horror game Outlast, where you play as Waylon Park, the software engineer that emailed journalists around the world about the Mount Massive Asylum. Because you aren't a fighter, you'll need to run or hide from the deranged patients and even madder scientists. Use your skills in both parkour and stealth to survive the horror that is terrifyingly real as Outlast is inspired by real asylums and cases of criminal insanity.

You can't hide forever from the horror within the Mount Massive Asylum. Run, don't walk, and pick up Outlast: Whistleblower DLC for only $8.99--DRM Free--on GOG.com!

Smannesman: Ah OK, you said look out in twenty minutes in another thread.. roughly twenty minutes ago :P
Because 20 minutes ago, Whistlebower wasn't released :P

You remember what happened last time.

Errrr not today but sometime soon :)

JinseiNGC224: "even H.P. Lovecraft's hair would go white with shock"... I wouldn't go THAT far :)

Can't wait to play this!
Well, I went there so uhhhh there :P

RadonGOG: *Crossing fingers*
Please a GOG "EarlyAccess"-Programm.
Please, please, please! Or maybe some language updates?
Would be always nice to have!
avatar
Crosmando: You die.
avatar
RadonGOG: This isn´t DarkSouls...
BTW: We still don´t have DarkSouls here. That has to be changed! http://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/dark_souls_prepare_to_die_1
I don't know if GOGgers can handle Dark Souls :P

(I too wish Dark Souls was here along with the unique multiplayer. Nothing more fun than invading/getting invaded :D )

Soccorro: "invading" and "getting invaded"...... . . .chhchhhrrhahahaHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
What? You never played Dark Souls?
avatar
JudasIscariot: What? You never played Dark Souls?
avatar
Soccorro: I don't play pornographic games. but thank you.
It's pornographic? News to me, I must've been playing a different game as the version I played was far from that :)

avatar
RadonGOG: Well, there was a certain chaos witch that was very... and so on...
And remember: Witcher was also called a pornographic game, so I´d say...

And no, I would even buy it here without that multiplayer mode, even if it´s removed as good as those console -origins... *weired*
DSfix does alleviate some of those console-ish problems :)

The chaos witch was half XBOX huge spider, half woman. I mean, OK, someone may like that kinda thing but still! :P

monkeydelarge: The game is that good?
avatar
fronzelneekburm: If survival horror with a good slice of depravity is up your alley, I'd definitely recommend it.
avatar
JudasIscariot: Wow, someone's excited :)
avatar
fronzelneekburm: I was afraid the DRM-free version might get the usual month-or-so delay. Not only did this get a Day 1 gog-release, but the other stores apparently don't even sell it yet (at least I don't see a product page for it on Steam or the dev's website). If that isn't reason enough to celebrate...
Oh, I see :) Well, in any case, it's nice to see someone get all excited about a release :)
avatar
justanoldgamer: I got Outlast for $2 during a promo (Luck of the Irish?) but haven't played it yet. I might get the DLC without having played the game if there's a promo I can't refuse.

Beside, with my anxiety issues I don't know why I bother buying horror games that I'm too afraid to play.
I feel like I am obligated to tell you to just mentally prepare yourself before playing it in this case, it's such a great game but I literally almost passed out while playing the first 30 minutes. Then Gdoc made a joke about it in the news post.
What a day that was.

JMich: Quick question, since I don't recall you introducing yourself to the forum. Which one are you in the instagram photos? Glasses or no glasses?
I'm the least manly of the two in the latest instagram post. You be the judge.

justanoldgamer: Thanks for the warning. Now I really want to install it and play it for some perverse reason that only my subconscious know. My subconscious is an asshole.
Good choice. Even though you will be scared, its on such a level that you will also really appreciate how well it's been done. Just maybe keep the volume at like 10%.

fronzelneekburm: Better yet: someone getting excited about a DLC-release! ;)
I'll be honest, back when we first started carrying DLCs, I never thought I'd see anyone get excited about one :)

JMich: Beards are (by definition) manly. If you don't believe me, ask any of your co-workers, like TET or G-Doc. So I think that's settled ;)
I'm convinced. I wonder what style of beard would go best with my lipstick. A chinstrap perhaps?
