The way I see it is, it is free so either take it or don't complain. Using Origin to claim a free game does not hurt anyone.

I made an account with Origin to download this, and it was only needed for the download .

I wasn't digging at anyone specific. Just saying can't complain if it's free. The versions I have played haven't used Securom...

Interesting, not that I care to be honest. A free game is a free game lol. Is this just the origin version as my disc definitely doesn't have it.

Yikes, now I wish there was a way to remove the game from my account again. Origin would be easy to remove if you don't like it anymore, but if a game puts 3rd party software on your computer that you need to learn how to uninstall, I think the fact that it's free loses any attraction. :/

You can hide games in the Origin library (in the right-click menu, I think). They're still on the account but hidden from the default view. This is also useful for demos since those also get attached to the account.

It's the full game with all content but is only for Origin whereas the bundle version activated on both Origin and Steam.
