Recently, I've been trying to play Amnesia again. And it is giving me some serious nightmares. That scream, that horrid scream the monster makes, has been invading my sleep. And this is the first time in years that I have had such an experience.

I want to stop playing, but part of me wants to endure the nightmares and reach the conclusion. The story seems like it will have some fantastic conclusion, and I'm all about a thrilling narritive. I'm just not sure how sane I will be when the dust clears.
I guess that means you're getting your money's worth? Basically I bought it, had to stop after an hour or two because of the stress and horror, and never went back... too scary...
I don't know how far you've got yet, but there is definitely some good stuff later on. Keep on persevering with it. It's worth losing a couple of sanity points for.
Cheese have you reached the Prison level?

I don't think I have, though it sounds delightful.
Hmm I think I shall pick this up along the way
I've never heard people talking about all the good stuff later on before... I'll have to plow through it soon!
Well at least if Amnesia is giving you nightmares, you'll forget about them soon >_>
You could just look at the cover of the retail release. Nightmares, gone!
That reminds me, I never got around to playing for more than a few minutes.
The demo was too scary for me, let alone the main game. I still bought it though, like an idiot.
I'd try it if I had the money left to get it and it was cheap enough, however I can't take the game seriously since watching : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=loSzpvq73FY

Yeah, what the fuck were they thinking when they made that cover? A mentally-deficient imp with its mouth wide open, instead of the horrifying creature in the game.
There is this abandoned train tunnel underneath the mountain by my house. It is still intact, but has about a foot of water throughout the entire thing.

Ever since I played amnesia I have not been able to go in there, which is well enough considering it is condemed and could collapse at any moment.

I swear you can hear footsteps far off in the water when you go in, and they're not just echoes. It wouldn't be so bad if you could see the other side, so the light would silohuette anything in there.

Yeah, scary freaking game. I felt such a sense of accomplishment when I beat it.
Amnesia is hard to get though.... im getting chills thinking of it... Im actually playing Dead Space in my basement with all the lights off in 5.1 and its still not as scary as Amnesia...

good luck man.... im in the same boat as you....
