I pretty much only use Amex - don't care for Visa and mastercard. Any chance they will be added?

I don't understand why Amex is so unsupported in webstores

Well it varies - I just don't shop online at places that don't take Amex - I prefer NewEgg and Amazon (Amazon more and more lately since I joined their preferrred club). I KNOW if something bad happens Amex will handle it. The local Fry's finally wised up and started taking it - and now they get my business - and, weirdly, Costco only takes Amex.
Anyway, hopefully GOG will start taking it.

because only elite business people use amex.
that's why.
they are appealing to regular everyday people and they figure if you make enough money to have an amex card you just tell your butler to get it for you and he does whatever he can to get it and you compensate him in his pay.
Also, I know I sound really pissed, but I'm just joking. :)

Lol never considered myself an elite-business person - I do have my own company, so I guess I qualify. Still waiting for my butler to answer this darn thread, so I guess I'll have to. 8)
There's something to be said for calling the card company and actually TALKING to the card company> You can"t call visa. When my Suntrust visa got sold to Bank of America.... suddenly my card became no grace period (because I won't carry a balance), I was hung up on TWICE by customer service, etc, etc.
You don't get these problem with Amex.

hahaha a friend of mine works at BOFA CC services, text chat tho.
anyway, yeah, Amex is nice, but you gotta be rich.
It costs retailers more to accept Amex and Discover than any other credit or charge card, that's why you don't see them accepted everywhere.
I got an AMEX a year ago for cashback on purchases, but only about 3 out of every 4 stores take it in the UK, and hardly any restaurants.
It's the retailer charge that stops them, AMEX charge much more than the others.
