I opened a thread, asked a question, got an answer so I marked the answer as a Solution. Nothing unusual so far.
After a few more days I got another answer that was more detailed and answered my question even better than the one I marked as a Solution.
One problem, I CAN"T choose the better answer as a solution if I already market another topic so. Not a problem for me, but future readers that just search for solution sign won't get the best answer.

Can you (GOG) add an option to move the solution tag?

Worse than that, there was at least one case that I've seen personally (but I guess there were more) when someone was awarded with the solution tag and the 5 rep points by accident.

Also there has been several situations where the solution was a combination of 2 or 3 answers rather than just one.

Edit: I assume not having this feature has something to do with adding / subtracting rep points as someone changes the solution post from one to another. Some here go completely nuts when they lose rep points ; )

At least one thing you can do is to edit your post to provide a link to the post that provides the better solution.

Actually, that happened to me the other day... Yes, I can do that but that's an ugly solution considering how elegantly designed these GOG forums are. Out of all the forums that I posted on, this one looks and feels the best.

Ugly or not, it is a practical solution. One you can readily use if you really are concerned that people viewing your thread looking for a solution are likely to miss the solution you believe to be the better one.

Honestly, the rep points are kinda irrelevant as 99.9% of us here have a solid positive rep. But being able to change a "Solution" for the sake of a more detailed reply would be nice, but I don't see it being deemed important enough for GOG to add the option...so I'd agree, just edit the post with a link to the "best solution."
