Stilton: Boring question: does anybody have their entire GOG collection downloaded, extras and all, or do you download a game only when you want to play it?

I've got the lot downloaded, and it feels like half the hut is being taken up. Maybe I'll just download when I want something to play.
I think I have pretty much all of mine. Bar the free games and some of GoGs freebies I'm not too interested in (like the Witcher 2)
Not all the extras though. I only bother with them if there is something extra special or I think I might need the manual.
I may have to rethink this approach if my collection grows much larger though...

I have all of the installers and manuals downloaded and backed up on a USB drive and on my NAS.

I rarely download any of the extras outside of a manual or a map.

I downloaded and installed 133 of my games (94,3%) !. I know it's completely stupid. But in case of a zombie attack, or if I'm stuck for years on a desert island with my computer (and an endless power source), I would feel relieved to have them all on my side :-D

I always download the game (English version or German version when the game is originally from Germany) and the extras (just one soundtrack when it's available as MP3 and FLAC) right after I buy a game. When I want to play the game I just check if there is a new version or patch that I might have missed.

Actually a good question. I have a 2TB drive waiting to fill with my GOG stuff, just need to get at it. Rather have a local copy 'just in case' GOG isn't around forever. ;)

See you later!
You guys now have me looking at Hatoful Boyfriend! Next to Vangers about the weirdest thing I've ever seen, may just have to have it. :/

I do not. I plan to do so in the future. I even started to list the file sizes on a spreadsheet to see how much space approximately I will need.
Interesting variety of answers. My collecting everything follows Don's philosophy of, what if GOG suddenly disappear? What about my games then? It also reinforces my colossal dislike for Steam and the like who only 'give you' a squib of the game you bought from them and which would be completely useless if they ever went toots up. Goodbye games. No, I like the GOG way where you can get your hands on everything your money was spent on. I was simply curious as to what others did, so thanks for enlightening a Viking.
All right, time to get serious. Not going to buy Hatoful Boyfriend because it doesn't feel like "scream at the screen" bad, it really feels more like a "oh man, I feel kinda dirty, let's shut this crap off" kind of deal.

I also have both of my Steam folders (windows & Linux) backed up to my NAS. I never delete files from the backup, so any game I've downloaded with steam is backed up on the NAS, even if I've removed it from my laptop.

The GOG downloads are certainly more of a reliable backup though.

Stilton: But what about my manly blonde flowing delicate windswept wafting hair? All of that cheesy oil would ruin my hopes of a Garnier advertising contract!

[...]
LMAO!! On the contrary though, it might give you the unique opportunity to demonstrate how wonderful cleansing the Garnier shampoos can be, like those ads with dirty dishes. ;-)

99% of them, I do, but not completely. Only English Windows installers for me. I also avoid FLAC soundtracks.

Maybe I could do Fairy Liquid ads! All seven feet three of me...

FLACs are way too bulky - MP3s are enough for me, too.
