Bio-neural gel packs.
Here is one that maybe is not really huge but I think we need to have started working on this like three years ago:

Tandem synchronised cores, the ability to take two of the fastest cores and lock them in step and make them look like one extra fast core to programmes. Several games could benefit from this. I am sure both processor designer, so ARM; Intel; AMD; Apple (?) or Qualcomm, and the operating system would have to be in and then not sure but suspect the programme would need to be coded for it too for any tangible benefit.
Consciousness (Personality, Character, Behaviour, Thoughts, Tastes, Desires, and so on) modulation through outside stimulus based on internal previously implanted technology.

Be it through AI, Audio, Games or Social Media.

That's gonna be the next big thing publicly available.

Well, social engineering is already a thing, especially through marketing of big techs, political / state campaings and group agendas anyways.

Breja: Mentats.
Plain Mentats won't do it, you will need "Orange" and or "Berry" Mentats.

So what, shoot beam at computer to make computer happen?
Gallium Arsenide Transistors would be a logical next step if production costs and quality control issues were solved.

I'll let the Chinese figure it out. They'll come up with something. Or copy it from somewhere else, maybe from aliens?!?
The ongoing fad with wireless things requiring endless piles of batteries everywhere dies, and cables become 'standard' again.
