Some of the games come in windowed mode only, meaning that even when I maximize the window I still see the borders which is irritating.
Question is: How do I change this per any game in windows 7 without downloading any extra programs?

Depends on the engine those games use, on how they were built, the settings available and how they're configured, and probably other things too.
If you could give more details, that'd help.

I forgot about that, thanks.
on this game was f4 (that Makina game that most play and enjoy spicy dungeon crawling gameplay), on the other f11, it amazes me how fragmented devs are. Simple in-game setting for this would be welcome.
jsn games frame skip is horrible at full screen; when you press f2 it shows frames per second counter at +- 120fps but that's not what my monitor shows, it's static 165Hz refresh rate.
