1. their always baiting you with the next skin.
2. you choose a champion you like, spend on skins, 1 week from now it's got 0 damage.
3. the TOS agreement needs to be signed before the product is even tested, don't even know what your signing for.
4. they can bend the game however they want and you as a spending customers are just along for their hard enforced 30/30/30 win rate system.

if they rework your whole champion into a unlikable state you don't get refunded 1c.
and that's bull!!! what consumer protection?

CONSUMER PROTECTION IS A LIE TO PROTECT THE DEVELOPER.

XeonicDevil: Why MOBA developers are scum
Going by all your threads, I think this is the right forum for you: https://www.gamedeveloper.com/keyword/blogs
I actually do think MOBAs are scum, but do you really think the developers are to blame, instead of the publishers, marketers, advertisers, and poor market regulations?

In my opinion, none of the above are to blame. Any company have pretty fixed high costs and servers don't pay for themselves, I'm not against trying all the "scummy" tactics they can.

The blame lies only on GaMeRs...
What has worked for me so far with online multiplayer games is that I refuse to pay anything for them. Not even microtransactions. (*)

That way I don't feel I am losing any money etc. when they pull the plug from the game, I can just say to myself:

"Oh well, it was fun while it lasted, but so is wrestling with a bear."

(*) Except that one time I bought a 20 cent sandwich or something in Team Fortress 2, in order to get access to the competitive multiplayer mode (instead of mere casual), and also to enable a bigger inventory.

However, later I learned:

1. The competitive mode in TF2 is shit, no one plays it, not even me. The free casual mode is where its at.

2. You don't have to pay up to get a bigger inventory. My two sons have free-to-play TF2 accounts and they have occasionally gotten free "inventory expanders" as well, so they have a bigger inventory too now.

Really, the only advantage for the "paid" account in TF2 is that you can communicate within the game, but the game is fully playable even without that (you can "communicate" with guns), and it is sometimes even better you can't curse online to others because they play like RETARDS that they are, dammit!

yeah here's the thing... they can ignore them and make a game instead.
they chose greed.

It It is not like they have to buy food, pay rent, pay off loans, take care of their children, pay bills, or anything like that. How dare those selfish basterds chose to try survive in a harsh economic climate. I spit on them.
Yes let us be spitting on all of them. Greedy peopls deserve nothing but the salivas from our mouths. Don't be having children if you cannot paying for them either. Think of the planet specifically my portion which is too crowded!

I'd argue that most of the entire gaming industry has serious intrinsic issues. Even GOG themselves, even if they're pretty good all around. That said, most MOBA's are pretty crap.

Skins and junks taking away the easily led peoples monies. A serious crime I think!
money we give them to produce a product as described.
lets be real if you can afford to buy a stadium, fund a whole tv series or movie and walk around with celebs... then your not feeding families.. your feeding a ego.

"the poor developers need money too argument has gotten old"
they have too much money already.

at what point is a developer trying to feed his family? when he buys his 5th sports car?

also you think indie competitions are there to help people?
no their there so big companies can sit back while other people do the work and research for them.

no honestly developers are rigging in cash.. to claim they don't is a lie to make us feel sorry for people literally rolling in money.

worst excuse ever. because most popular developers are not small indie groups.

I mean, certainly, but who's about to overthrow the root of the problem?

i have a ticket with riot games, and their dodging the questions and intentionally searching for excuses to close tickets.

since when is depression a excuse to change the subject and close the ticket on a different subject entirely?
since when is depression a excuse to close a ticket and ignore it's subject?
When they choose it to be.

as a large company they have excuses of their excuses.. their irresponsible, disrespectful, developer that lies 24/7.
they inject malware into systems, they mess with your meta data, they troll their own players.
why are they still allowed to operate?

because consumer protection... does not exist.
