It's bad enough to have two different payment methods (VISA cards) refused by your payment processor. It gets a bit worse when I call both issuing banks and speak with the fraud department in each, and am told by my banks that there is no issue with making a payment on your website.

But what really tops it off, and what has just ensured that I will never, ever purchase (LOL, or ATTEMPT to) anything from your site again, is your customer service department claiming my banks refused the payment.

That is a bold-faced lie. I expressly inquired as to whether they had any record of the attempted payment, and neither bank even showed a REJECTED transaction, or otherwise. If your payment processor had submitted my payment and truly had it rejected by my bank, they would have had a record of having done so, and NO such record exists.

So you lied to me.

I don't do business with liars, but I'm happy to spread the word around when I encounter one.

Your bank is probably the liar here. Many US banks blanket reject international payments that cross Cyprus (the country where GOG is incorporated), without actually processing any kind of transaction. They said there was no rejected transaction because it never got to a point where the transaction could be recorded as rejected.

So what's more likely? That GOG - who have tons of US customers that use Visa cards - has decided to single you out for rejection or that your bank, which likely has few - if any - of their customers shopping on GOG's site - has rejected the purchase due to a situation as described by cogadh?

^And still doesn't know anything about GOG. Pretty sure he just wanted to do a hit and run bitch rant without any interest in fixing his issue.

but that means taking responsibility for ones own actions and admitting that they were wrong while looking for a other payment option
instead of butthurt raging and flailing which takes no effort at all because obviously its gog's fault

also what are the changes we wil see him again after this round of butthurt flailling ?

Why should Gog lie about such a thing? People raging for nothing..

The purchase was for $2.49, so don't insult me withabout maxed out credit cards. Neither card is a credit card, and neither card has any issue with balance.

As to which is more likely, I've purchased from GoG before using one of the cards in question. I personally verified that neither bank so much as received a request to pay for anything at all. When a transaction is refused, there is a record of the transaction being attempted.

No such record exists, so the payment was never even sent to my banks.

But hey, I don't have to prove anything to anyone here. GoG's lost a customer over $2.49 and being unwilling to either correct the payment problem or offer me the discount price once they fixed the payment issue., since I personally verified with both banks that no such problem existed.

It certainly wasn't worth lying about, but that's the choice they made.

sooo if you dont have to "prove" anything to anybody here
why exactly are you raging about it here ?
take your issue with support then instead of flailling on the boards

and if you dont want to be patron of gog anymore just leave instead of making a big spectacle of it

this is just the online version of somebody yelling they wil never buy in a particular shop ever again
