To wit, I read something utterly baffling in the bowels of the MDK reviews:
The music composed by Tommy Tallarico was one of the fist in videogames to feature an orchestral, with classic elements combited[sic] with techno - to perfecty[sic] match the visuals of the game!
No.
This statement is all kinds of wrong. Techno was being combined with classical music as far back as the Amiga! The argument could even be made further back!
Tallarico's music is groundbreaking, [...]
HOW, REVIEWER? HOW IS IT GROUNDBREAKING‽

So, how about your strange spottings?
Shadow Warrior Complete Classic. Lots of reviews talking about how it's the "Worst Port Ever" - interesting as it's the original DOS release - and complaining about the controls:

"This game has a lot of goddamn problems! Just get it as a collection, because this version got a defected control issues. You cannot use WASD or any thing because f@#k all!

Just buy the REDUX or wait until it's free and not like this one."

Or just go in to the setup programme like you have to with build engine games and change them there?
Not baffling per se, but this is my favorite review on the store. It spoils a puzzle solution to indicate the absurdity of the game's logic. From the Mystery of the Screaming Druid game card.

Not on GOG, but one review of Final Fantasy Legend (for the Game Boy) kept criticizing the game for only letting you save in certain areas (as opposed to letting you save just anywhere).

Problem is that this game, in particular, *does* let you save anywhere, to the point where it's possible to softlock yourself into a position where you can't continue because you can't kill the boss, and there's no way to rest or get stronger because you can't leave without killing the boss; hence, that particular criticism was outright wrong.

Yes, Mystery of the Druids is a special case indeed. A mystery for everyone. Including the druids.

Or since it's running in Dosbox, just open the remapper and set the keys to joystick buttons?

...Yeah, it's a game boy title. Not letting you save anywhere on a system with a limited lifecycle would have been utter madness.
