They probably won't select any winners of any of the four stages before they return to their offices tomorrow morning.
And that is only the earliest point, you can start to expect to hear anything from them...though I wouldn't hold my breath, if I were you.

The rules links didn't work, there was no trace of the contest on the social media of either company (as far as I could tell), and then they just deleted the news post. If you expect GOG to provide an explanation for anything they do, you'll usually be disappointed.

Why don't you ask Mad Catz about it? If they decided to abandon the competition, then surely GOG isn't obliged to continue it.

Either GOG or Mad Catz (or both) obviously decided the competition wasn't in their best interest to continue, thus it got axed (and the competition threads got nuked appropriately).

*ponders* With a second competition announced (then cancelled) so soon after the first one in October I'd wonder whether Mad Catz is struggling financially.

I'm not sure it happened in this case, but GOG has a long history of abandoning contests and never announcing any winner and never awarding any of the announced prizes.

The one that sticks out in my mind the most is the Sunless Skies contest wherein GOG had people write a creative writing story for them and post it on the forum... AFAIK (but someone can correct me if I'm wrong) that contest from many years ago still has never had any winner announced nor gave out any of the promised prizes as of 2023.

You mean the company that already went bankrupt once might be struggling financially?

Especially seeing as they have no current relevancy, no real marketplace anymore (their lunch was eaten by competent makers), and no real products?

I'll never get why they can announce these contests here in the forum, but then "can't" announce the winners, too.

The way this is done, it feels like the forum is only used as a space to place an ad for something (in this case: Mad Catz).
