amrit9037: Crysis

Cadaver747: Your explanation is quite enormous. I think not, Crysis owned by EA. EA signed agreement with GOG. In 5-10 years we'll probably get it here if not earlier.

amrit9037: New reboot of Star Wars Battlefront
avatar
Cadaver747: Again why? What make you think so?
Crytek actually owns the Crysis IP. EA has publishing rights, but I don't think that covers DD platforms(other than Origin of course). AFAIK Crysis on Steam is published by Crytek. But either way, Crysis coming to GOG is certainly possible.

Painted_Doll: The Dirk Dashing series .
Perhaps any comment on that?

My bad, just read the EULA. It says Crysis belongs to Crytek indeed. Any more reasons to believe they put it here eventually.

Cadaver747: Can't find any Digital Store where I could buy this game.

Rixasha: Wasn't most of the content blatantly stolen? It would be pretty impossible to license.
Yes: "On 12 June 2008, publisher Tri Synergy announced they had stopped distribution of Limbo of the Lost while investigating allegations of plagiarism. Tri Synergy said they had no knowledge Majestic Studios used other games' work without permission and said they had contacted Majestic Studios for a response" (from Wikipedia)
I meant that this game is not suitable for qualification because it's not available anywhere. The reason was to compare GOG chances with other major players on video games market.

. [url=http://store.steampowered.com/app/108800/]Not really.
Well, I guess "Sex Games", a C 64 game, will never come to GOG.

stasongrom: Half life 1\2 is DRM FREE. Why not?
Has Half Life 2 ever been DRM-free? Pretty sure that was the game that launched Steam...

mrkgnao: Crawl
I played that thing at the gog party in Cologne well over one year ago. :P

And I sucked profusely at it.

No it wasn't, no one stated otherwise.
Than again a Gorbushka edition came out without DRM ;))

Interesting. Of course it's still never coming here. To answer your "Why not?", it'll never come here because Valve games are Steam exclusive. Normally I'd say 'never say never', but in this case I really can't see it happening, ever. It's nothing to do with DRM, just Valve wanting to keep their games on their service.

Cadaver747: There is actually DOSBox (can run Win 3.1x),
I know; I run games this way. But it's almost impossible to use this to release them commercially.
Anno 2070 (because of Uplay)
I think Resident Evil is a series that'll never see the freedom.

Yeap, anyhow some of 3.1x era games are here (e.g. Deadlock: Planetary Conquest)
I guess we will never see Rise of Nations and / or Rise of Legends here. All of the recent Microsoft re-releases were steam-only and i assume that future (re)-releases will be either steam-only or windows-store only...
