Greetings All,

What a tough year! It is years like this one that can really suck the positiveness and hope out of a person. With the many dark things happening across the world at this time it is sometimes difficult to find the light.

This thread is an attempt to elevate the light in each of our lives which should help in restoring the light/darkness balance.

The best way I know how to position my eyes on the light is to remind myself of the things for which I am thankful.

I will start it off and hope you join me in your own way.

I am thankful for (not an exhausted list, just meant to be a start):

* Family
* Friends
* My Job

What says you? :)

I am thankful for GOG, their game collection that they offer and for the prices they are offering this collection for.
We don't have Thanksgiving Day here (isn't it an US-only thing anyway?), so I guess I am not thankful for anything.
My wife and daughters.
That I live in peace. I hope I never ever have to experience what it's like living in a war.
For being alive. My family and friends.
For all the comedy online and in the world at the moment.
I just got an £8 off voucher for Waitrose in the mail

Hey Timppu! Although in the US we do have Thanksgiving, this thread is not about that day. It is meant to be an "any day" thing where, among all of the chaos of this world, we remember and focus on the things in our lives for which we are thankful.

Surely you have something for which you are thankful?
I'm thankful that I'm not an astronaut.

Alcohol. Vodka, beer, Kännu Kukk and Kristallkümmel
I'm thankful for my and all of my relative's/ friends health. :)
It might be a cliche, but definitely friends and family.

And by extension... As Captain Kirk once said: "the only thing that's truly yours, is the rest of humanity". That's where our duty lies, and that's what I'm thankful for - because taken a whole (minor quibbles and pet peeves aside), I think we're an altogether rather interesting bunch. :-)

I am thankful that this day will end soon and in a few hours I'll venture the dreamland.
