Caesar.: I have read the first one, second is waiting on the shelf. It was a truly amazing experience, something different from your usual sci-fi book.
I usually try not to get my hopes too high despite high prizes. ;)

That is one excellent novel.

Currently reading Mrs. Dalloway by Virginia Woolf.
Satire: Werden wir kriminell! by Roland Rottenfußer
The Cambridge history of medieval political thought.
Before that I read a book by German WW1 historian Holger Afflerbach "Auf Messers Schneide. Wie das Deutsche Reich den Ersten Weltkrieg verlor" ("On knife's edge. How imperial Germany lost WW1). Very interesting book.
The Poppy War by R.F. Kuang

Debut book with the main character as an underdog. She is dark-skinned peasant girl, takes a test for the elite, and needs to prove herself to her teachers and peers. This book melds mythology and military like an Asian Ender's game.

Highly recommended.
The Left Hand of Darkness by Ursula K. Le Guin.
