I wonder if we'll ever see another batch of Steam games redeemable on GOG. Remember the Reclaim Your Games thing? Last update: April 1st 2015. Pretty much dead, right? I hope I'm wrong because I have a bunch of games on Steam I'd happily redeem here.

The problem with the "Reclaim Your Games" is that it requires the publisher to have kept a list of serials, which few did, if any. If a game didn't use a serial (like the MoO games), then you can't use an automated system, and you'd have to send proof of purchase.
The GOG connect does help with both problems, and by having the option of a time limited offer for the games, it's likely that more publishers will use it.

Time will tell though, but I am optimistic about it.
I'm hopeful too, but it is also dependent on the publishers.

I have a few Games on Steam I'd love to see come to GoG. If/When they come it would be great not to rebuy them, but I would just to help remove VALVe's grasp on my gaming.

How can "Steam" and "optimism", possibly mix together, in same sentence, too?

Easily.
"I am optimistic that Steam will be bought by CD Projekt Red". I should also add delusional to that.
"I am optimistic that Steam will no longer be necessary for AAA games in the future". Unlikely, but not really delusional.
"I am optimistic that Steam's community will improve over time". Considering how bad it currently is, not sure if I should be optimistic or not.
"I am optimistic that I'll soon be able to move all my Steam games to GOG, and never have to use Steam again".

See above for 4 examples off the top of my head. Feel free to ask if you want more.

They weren't in the same sentence in JMich's post. Not even in the same paragraph.

I would do ANYTHING if i could do that!!! Even if my games total on Steam are like, 10 exactly!

Well, those of us who owned a physical copy of Master of Orion were recently offered a free copy here which was nice, so its not totally dead.
I've said this several times in the past. Ideally imo GOG places itself a couple of years behind Steam as the 'eventually' DRM-free place, where hopefully developers/publishers get used to releasing their games DRM-Free on GOG after the major sales have died out after a year or two.

By that time DRM should be a far lesser concern as most of it's usefulness comes from preventing piracy in the first couple of months/years, so that concern would be off mostly off the table by then.

The biggest flaw probably being that some developers/publishers won't last long enough to reach that stage so the DRM-free versions may never arrive if they wouldn't be around anymore.

(This is all for those games that wouldn't already be here of course)

Melancholy and utopia are heads and tails of the same coin. (G. Grass 1927-2015)
And here we are, old deal gone, no new deal. We'll see what comes up after a sale ;)
I still have hope for this. That being said, I still bought several games I already own on Steam during the summer sale.
I have hope. Not blind faith. :P
People waiting for new connect games every week are delusional.

This is a one-time (or equivalent...) thing here because some indie devs (forget about Bethesda, EA,... they thrive on reselling the same games multiple times) were asked repeatedly to give GOG keys for their old games to their customers. But at the end of the day, GOG has just nothing to gain to become just another steam leecher.

So by definition, it's going to be a very exceptional thing.
It is a bit sad to see GOG Connect come to such a fast halt, would have thought they had at least a few batches of games ready.
I hope it continues as it helps GOG be more widely used, I for one haven't really used GOG before, and only installed GOG Galaxy after I got several good games from my Steam library on here.

I hope they get the next batch of games ready soon and revive GOG Reclaim as well.

Actually they could make GOG Reclaim work without the publisher having the keys. With old games you need to enter the key when you install the game, so there has to be a way for the game to tell it is getting a valid key, they could use the same method on GOG to determine that you are entering a valid game key for a specific game.
