So in my opinion

Vampire Bloodlines
Neverwinter Nights Series
Icewind Dale Series
Planescape Torment
Baldurs Gate Series (i adore 3)
Pathfinder Series
Wasteland Series
Fallout Series
Elder Scrolls Series
Divinity Series
Deus ex 1(may be more of an immersive sim)

Im looking also for recommendations. I prefer rpgs with a lot of choices and a lot of freedom to roleplay

Greetings
Two Worlds 1 is great if you disable the janky grass. Didn't like two worlds 2 however.

It seems to me the goal is games with deep choice and roleplaying, perhaps over graphics or "polishedness".

If that is the case for you, or another poster, I could definitely recommend the following:

-The Age of Decadence (also note that this one takes less time to complete, but great replay value).
-Gothic series
-Any game by Spiderweb Software (Jeff Vogel), .e.g., Geneforge series.

I also notice a lack of dungeon crawlers on your list, though I guess those aren't as big on choice generally speaking. Still, consider Arx Fatalis, Ultima Underworld series, and Grimoire: Heralds of the Winged Exemplar.

One may consider Mount and Blade an action game or immersive sim to borrow OP's term), but lots of freedom in those games it seems.

Note all the games I mention are on GOG, because I will not recommend anyone support DRMed platforms even if they have goodlooking other games :)

Games based on your preferences I'd recommend the following:

Cyberpunk 2077
The Witcher 3
Pillars of Eternity 1&2
Tyranny
Kingdom Come: Deliverance

Games that I highly recommend that are outside of your preference with less choice or roleplay freedom would be the following:

Trails of Cold Steel 1-4
Ys VIII & IX
Ruined King: A League of Legends Story
Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night
The Dungeon of Naheulbeuk: The Amulet of Chaos
Battle Chasers: Nightwar
Edge of Eternity
Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance
GreedFall
Solasta: Crown of the Magister
Dust: An Elysian Tail is nice, but it's a bit simplistic on the RPG part, being more of a hack and slash:
https://www.gog.com/game/dust_an_elysian_tail

Mary Skelter: Nightmares is probably one of the best titles made by Idea Factory:
https://www.gog.com/game/mary_skelter_nightmares

...And it has an update version plus a prequel:
https://www.gog.com/game/mary_skelter_2

Minoria also has RPG elements, but it's more of a Souls-like; also linear:
https://www.gog.com/game/minoria

Starbound also has RPG elements with its progression, and it's great for roleplaying, specially if you slap some mods and custom items in it:

Hmmmm....I like RPGs too. The only ones I can think of off the top of my head are:
Elder Scrolls III & IV
Fallout 3 & New Vegas
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided & Human Revolution
Witcher I, II, & III
Blood Omen
Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines
Cyberpunk 2077....kinda
BioMutant
Kingdom Come Deliverance

And my personal fav........DARKSIDERS 2: DEATHINITIVE EDITION!

I know that not many of these titles are probably exactly what you are looking for, but I really do recommend Darksiders 2

I don’t consider cyberpunk and the witcher as rpgs more as action adventures. The witcher is fantastic played over 200 hours

Pillars i also have but i didnt enjoyed it that much and tyranny i didn’t played long enough to form an opinion
Greedfall is a decent game i also own and solasta i will get at some point
Dragon Wars is a game that's easily overlooked. It was sort of advertised as a spiritual successor to the Bard's Tale series, but the game's focus is different; it shifted away from the "killing monsters for XP and loot" approach (in fact, enemies don't drop loot) and toward more of an exploration and puzzle-solving approach (sometimes with multiple solutions, like the various ways of leaving Purgatory). Definitely worth checking out, even though it's not exactly modern (it's old enough to ask you to read paragraphs from the manual). There's definitely choices to be made in that game, and it's even possible for a city to be destroyed or captured because of a choice you make! (Also, it has New Game +, despite coming out well before the term "New Game +" existed.)

rjbuffchix: -Any game by Spiderweb Software (Jeff Vogel), .e.g., Geneforge series.
Note that you can find substantial demos of these games on Spiderweb Software's web site, in case you want to make sure you're going to like the game before you commit.

(Yes, they do offer choices. I believe Avernum 1 has multiple endings, for example, while Geneforge 1 has multiple factions you can side with.)

Spiders RPG games (Mars: War Logs, Bound by Flame, The Technomancer, Greedfall)

And don't skip over Vampire: The Masquerade - Redemption.

Sorry, but:
Cyberpunk 2077 - joking right?
The Witcher 3 - it’s an action/action with light rpg elements as is dark alliance

Ys VIII & IX - also action adventure, no rpg elements, and whilst 8 is ok and sometimes fun, 9 is pretty bad compared.
Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night - is a metroidvania

_Auster_: …snip
Dust is a metroidvania. Minoria is a metroidvania as well isn’t it? What is souls like, does that just mean you die endless and need to “lol” about it on social media telling others to “git gud”

oP, you have most of the big ones. You might consider divinity series, though again more action than rpg. How far back do you want to go? Good box? Eye of the beholder (perhaps grimrock 1 & 2). There are loads of them really. Witcher 1 is pretty good. What about rogue type games?

Oh, and you missed Gothic series, Risen series, and Elex series. Quite a lot of rpg there.

Diablo 1 + HellFire

Though maybe hardcore RPG fans won't call it a "true" RPG, more an action RPG.
If you liked Planescape: Torment, I must recommend you Torment: Tides of Numenera. Quite a bit of controversy around it, specially concerning the kickstarter campaign, but still... I believe it's a great game, already worth the price only for the story and soundtrack.

Why would I be joking about Cyberpunk 2077? It's clearly an RPG with heavy role playing potential.

Every game you disputed is labeled as an RPG here on GOG. The Witcher 3 is Action RPG. Same thing with the Ys games, Dark Alliance and Bloodstained. Just because a game is part of multiple genres or sub-genres doesn't remove it from being an RPG.

What is wrong with you, though? Seriously, just bizarre behavior. These are my personal recommendations, but you feel the need to come in and critique the games, dispute what genre the games are a part of, and for what reason?

You even go on to recommend the Divinity series which the topic creator already mentioned in the original post. Are you so absorbed in looking to argue that you forget to actually read?

Yup....having an opinion is a crime around here. lol Don't take it personally. There are a lot of dicks here who have nothing better to do than criticize others over nitpicky shit. Think of the Simpsons' Comic Book guy!

But aren't Divinity: Original Sin and its sequel turn-based?

(Also, I note that the first post's list includes "Divinity Series".)

Worth noting that "RPG" and "heavy role playing potential" are not synonymous. There are RPGs without "heavy role-playing potential", and the reverse is true as well.

You can't always trust GOG's category listings.

For example, Elminage Gothic has the "Action" tag, and it's clearly *not* an action game of any sort.

(Incidentally, Elminage Gothic is a very good RPG similar to the earlier Wizardry titles. It can be quite brutal, with resurrection having side effects, enemies being able to behead you (instant kill) as early as the second dungeon, and level draining enemies later on.)
