HypersomniacLive: Never played a Worms game before, so this looks like my chance to check the series out - thanks Team17 and GoG!
Too bad the free game is a spin off with different, inferior gameplay to the real Worms games.

Where's Worms Armageddon guys?

duffymoon: [...] I will give this a whirl and maybe I'll like it and buy one.
Maybe it's just a personal preference so don't take me too seriously, but I think that Worms Forts isn't the best representative sample of a Worms game; although I haven't played every Worms game, I find that Worms United & Worms 2 are much more fun than Forts. Maybe it's due to the 3D transition that I didn't like Forts, maybe the gameplay, maybe something else I don't now.

I'm not saying you won't have much fun with Forts, but in case you don't, please give another chance to the franchise and try one of the older 2D games as they're very good with Armageddon being my personal favourite.

That being said, happy anniversary Team 17 & thanks for the freebie! But remember; We're still waiting for Worms Armageddon and we are too many here you know! ;)

Not a big fan of the 2D->3D transition myself, but not sure if this will turn out to be a big factor. Since I haven't played any of the games before, I have nth to compare this one to, so who knows, there's a chance I like it, or at least get curious about one or more of the other games of the series people speak highly of. Cheers!

NightRomantic: I know Russia is a third-world country, but still feel a bit disappointed. Game is free for other people, but is 9 roubles for us Russians. It's *super-cheap*, I know, but... it isn't free! ))
That's a shame. I suppose it's against the rules to use a VPN?

edit: Sorry - I just saw that it was a bug...

By todays standards graphic and gameplay seem a bit dated but back then these games were considered top-notch. If you like games like Shadowgrounds, this is the grand-daddy of them. And it is certainly worth the sale price, IMHO.
Another free game. Thank you GOG and Team17 ! :)

So this is what it meant by free games on Monday...

I don't follow - what does "Russia is a third-world country" have to do with anything?

As for the game not being free for you - it sounds like a bug, would be nice if a blue text could comment.

Didn't they fix that 2 hours ago already?

Alright, hope you'll like it. Just keep in mind that considering general gameplay, at least in the earlier 2D games, no "base" building was featured at all. Cheers and have fun!

Worms could be used as an example of unnecessary change to 3D, the third dimension not only doesn't add much to the gameplay but makes it overly complicated, the game is just more fun being restricted to a 2D environment. Anyway, there are some people that like these 3D Worms more than the 2D ones...
Good ol' games offered for free without DRM, is it Christmas or something?

Thank you guyZ!
