Splatsch: When you hover a game, on the right side there is a link for it with review under, this link doesn't work ?
avatar
Austrobogulator: Yeah, that definitely does work, it's just stupid.

I can't fathom why they would make the name on the left unclickable.
So the page will work on a tablet properly. ;)

vicklemos: :P
Strategy or not, Shattered Haven is a game I've happily played.
I'm probably one of the few human beings who are fans of the title, I suppose. :P
Dunno, but this one has that Arcen feel, which is so nice and unique.

micktiegs_8: It's a shame that people are afraid to delve into such nice and unique things though. I really admire Arcen for being different and not simply piggybacking off others.
Yup, they're that green tiny spot among thousands of gray ones, that's for sure.
The 1st time I played some of their games (Tidalis, lol) I -stupid- was like "eww, weird". Later, thankfully, I gave some a second chance and got deeply involved with it. People gotta commit to their games to, later, understand them, I guess.

Probably that's what Arcen does best: the comfy "overall style" of their games is superb. It's hard to explain.
Tunes are superb, too (specially Bionic Dues) :)

I heard almost nothing about this one, but I love Arcent games. Would you advise this one ? I don't really get the "feel" of what the game is about.

MaGo72: The only way is to click on the link for more reviews on lower right.
You can click on the game's name on the upper right too. It's not underlined, but it is a link ;)

Oh, ok.... Thanks for explanation.

Can't you open the right side info with a "click" (tap, touch, whatever) on the left side listing? When I design anything for one of my websites, I always make sure to have a fallback for tablet and smartphone users. Especially for onmouseover scripts, since they're one of the most used scripts on websites and don't work with touchscreens at all (I hate hover menus without fallback solutions).

Random_Coffee: What is excellent in this promo? I already have JA1 and 2.
avatar
vicklemos: *cough* AI War *cough*
It looks pretty nice, I've always been a big fan of strategy. I see it has co-op as well, which is always a plus. Is the co-op mode good?

Tidalis or Bionic Dues? Both are great.
Since the first isn't here, Bionic Dues is much like the X-Com series, but has a distinct taste. The overall feel of the game is much nicer than any of those huge turn-based titles, for me at least.
That's it: the game is massive, but not huge. Got it?! Me neither.
Give it a chance, since It has a wide array of randomized levels. According to their website, It's a mech inspired roguelite.
True!

Whatever... :P

I didn't realize Bionic Dues is a strategy games. Maybe because I thought the title is Bionic Dudes. I was expecting some double dragon action or something.

Yes, you can but if they made the left side a link to the game tapping on it would open the game page instead of the summary. I hate hover menus period. :-)

Played it single player only. If it was a multiplat title (win x linux) I could've played it thru lan.
But I didn't play this one that much, when compared to Bionic Dues.

edit: mainly 'cause some games can last 10+ hours. That's crazy!

Austrobogulator: Oh, good, I can't actually click on any of the titles in the promo list.
Because you dont need to. Just hover with the mouse over the title and on the right side ratings/reviews will show up. Now click on any review or the games title on the right side.

Oh, I was talking about Shattered Haven in your previous post, I'm really sorry, I didn't replied at the good post XD (but thanks anyway :))
I already own Bionic Dues and yes, it's a very good "X-Com like" but with it's particuliar feel, like you said :)

I won't tell you one thing about SH. It would spoil the fun. Give it a serious go and you won't regret it. After many, many hours I finished it and felt immensely proud :P
Strategy lovers will definitely find something in this promo :)

Not one of them, so I´ll pass.
