Hunt them, control them, or even make friends with them. This Weekend Sale on GOG.COM is dedicated to titles featuring ferocious, albeit sometimes friendly, beasts. Here are some of the discounted titles:

Blasphemous (-50%) is an action fantasy game where you play as The Penitent One - a sole survivor of the massacre trapped in an endless cycle of death and rebirth.

SpellForce 3 (-75%) is the perfect blend between RTS and RPG in which you travel to a fantasy land destroyed by so-called Mage Wars. It’s up to you to return it to its former splendor.

Warhammer 40,000: Armageddon (-80%) is a war game set in the world created by Games Workshop. Join the Imperium of Man and defend the planet against the Ork invaders!

More monsters are incoming! This Weekend Sale on GOG.COM will end on 7th December 2020, 2 PM UTC.

MONSTER HUNTER WORLD. Finally!!

What? No? Dang it :(
I was expecting to see the Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing and Victor Vran, but yeah Monster Hunter World is basically the title of this sale. In case you're tempted, the old Call of Chtulu games have aged badly and weren't great to beging with, you're warned.

Where is Monster Hunter World????
Not bad GoG, not bad.. Certainly better than the mid-week. The OCD numbers obsessed part of me has wanted to try Realms of Arkania for a while, so that should be fun.

Likely they're to raise the difficulty over the weekend ...
And Hunters are to become hunted, as IRL.
Nice deals, although I'm curious how they drew the line between "game with monsters" and "game about monsters".

Means you click on the link to get more monsters than the ones mentioned.

Quake? Doom? No?
That would be perfect thematic sale for them...
Assuming that Gog does indeed has a plan and does not fart out clickbaits like a c-list you-tube vlogger:

Ain't Monster Hunter World an MMO or at least extremely multiplayer dependent? How would that work with DRM free? Another case of ignoring the elephant in the room like they currently do with No Mans Sky?

One can assume HEAVY integration with Galaxy. Possibly another Gwent case.
So either it's going to be exactly that or we will never see this game here.

Since I would not mind the occasional cooperative PvE experience I might even look a bit more into MHW and get it if its cool.

But at some point IMO Gog should consider a sister store for these semi-DRMd multiplayer games that require the Steam launcher sorry I mean Galaxy launcher to work. Maybe not for title likes NMS that only have like 0,00000000002% stuff locked behind but for coop MP games that are a bit more abundant these days.

It would keep the Gog store clean of DRMish stuff on one hand and on the other give them a store where they can go all in with said Monster Hunter World or ..."exiting" coop titles like that recent Avengers *cough* without alienating even more of their core fan base.

Not that I think it will be that successful since that one would go toe to toe against the other DRMd store-launcher hybrids but maybe it will remind Gog why that extra mile of DRM free is worth walking.
