Hi guys,

There is a new point and click adventure game coming out called Void & Meddler.

I contacted the company and asked about a GOG release, and apparently it has been refused by GOG.

From the official site:
Your actions may alterate the world around you
Distance doesn’t corrupts anything.
So I can see where GOG might have been put off. But otherwise it looks potentially interesting, though I'm inclined to wait until all the episodes are out...
GOG rejecting another potentially interesting game?
What else is new.

Voted.

(At least it'll be drm free in humblebundle)
They maybe dont sell enough of the P&C games they already have?
They probably don't sell many P&C games indeep. It's a niche genre afterall. And the usual suspects complaining about gog releasing yet another P&C in their release threads doesn't help either (even though last time I checked, gog had less adventure games than rpgs, for example).

On the other hand, P&C seems to be one of the genres where GOG gives steam a run for its money. At least according to a great post by MRY (one of Primordia designers) in the rpg codex (Primordia). Unfortunately most of the meat in the post have been edited since.

And P&C have longer tail than most other genres. This was discussed al length by Schafer, with the original Grim Fandango as one of the most grieving examples of it.

Wishlist votes could be another factor. I'm always appalled by the lack of wishlist votes in most P&C games compared to some other indie games. But I guess the lack of hype and the bells and whistles of an AAA production add to it. Or not having any famous youtuber helping the cause. P&C games are not the best suited games for lets plays.
Seems to be the MO around GOG lately.
