You should get description about each game there, some may of course be lacking information, but at least well-known titles are thoroughly covered. There is information about gameplay type, about possible paths and such, whether the game has adult content or not, etc.

Really a great resource for VN genre.

And if you want to have any interaction, you may want to avoid "Kinetic novels".

I love Visual Novels for what they are: a "pause" between two "big" games. I mean, when I finish a run on The Witcher 3 (+DLCs of course), I don't feel the energy to launch another long (40-60h) game.

Visual Novels usually clock less than 10h long, even sometimes just a couple of hours.

Since what I generally value in a game is the story I'm told, VN are perfect for me for a short run.

But I can totally understand they're not everyone's cup of tea.
