Prepare yourself for an atmospheric 2D puzzle-platformer set in a beautiful hand-crafted world. Unbound: Worlds Apart is coming soon DRM-free on GOG.COM. Join the main character, Soli, as he conjures magic portals to travel between different realities to learn more about the catastrophe that ravaged his world.

Jump into the world of Unbound: Worlds Apart right now, with the game’s Prologue available for free on GOG.COM.
I promised to buy the game day1 to support the Dev that GOG initially rejected and so I will keep my eyes out for its released and buy it as promised.
Looks nice, but for some reason does not work on integrated graphic cards. It's poorly optimized or just some bug – I was able to open menu screen, but it wasn't possible to go to options to change any settings...

I couldn't get the Linux build working at all on Mint 20, it fails to initialize Vulkan.

But the Windows build runs in Wine 5.0.1 with dxvk 1.7 using the following winetricks. quartz, d3dx9, vcrun2019

There may be a cutscene that isn't playing, but the game itself runs perfectly.

I'm really digging what I've played so far!
So... only the Linux version is available? I only have the option of downloading an .sh file.

Hmm that's weird. Are you sure your selected system in the download screen is Windows?
You probably know this but just in case you don't, you select your OS by clicking the down arrow after "System", right below the game's name in the download screen.

This is all assuming you're using the site and not Galaxy. If you are using Galaxy I can't help you except by suggesting you try downloading from the site instead.
OMG I'm an idiot. :P IN my defense though, I've somehow managed to buy 430 games without ever having to know that! lol Thanks Joppo!

No problem. Glad that it's all settled then.

Alexim: Hi, I noticed that the Steam version of the prologue has the achievements, would it be possible to add them also on GOG? Thanks in any case!
We can't integrate them in the prologue because we didn't put the GOG SDK in it. But the full game will have the achievements :)

Thanks a lot. Next year 2021 Q2 :)

The game requires a dedicated graphics card. An integrated card cannot run UE4 + lots of assets very well. It works well on Switch though

There are many problems with Linux. It works well on the latest Ubuntu :)). Because we are a really small team we can't test on all Linux Versions sadly

Thanks for the answers.

So in my case (Linux+Intel HD Graphics) it have to wait for better times, I guess. I'll keep an eye on it, though.

Swedrami: Both.
"Unbound: Worlds Apart Prologue is an introduction for an upcoming 2D Metroidvania puzzle platformer..."
avatar
park_84: Well, either a demo or a prologue could be used as an introduction, just by stating that we can't know.

Just to make it clear, does this introduction have any content not included in the full game? That's the difference in meaning I get between both terms, from a demo I expect a couple of levels taken directly from the game, and from a prologue a expect something unique made specifically for it.
That depends, Jagged Alliance had a level specific to the demo not included in the full game but it didn't tie into the game. Many demos are unique in that regard so I'd like a full explanation.

Breja: So... am I the only one who can't get the demo? When I go to check out it costs 0,00 but the "pay for your order" button is greyed out.

BreOl72: Click on "Gift this order", then de-select it again. The "Pay for your order" button should then work.
Thanks! Worked like a charm :)
