AlmostAHero: I'm attempting to purchase X-COM: UFO Defense, but when I try to add it to my cart, it adds it briefly then immediately reverts and removes it. I'm unsure why this might be a problem as I already have X-COM: Terror from the Deep? I can add other games just fine, it's specifically X-COM that appears to have some issue.

If someone knows why this might be the case, please let me know.

EDIT: Just to provide more info, I've attempted this across two different machines and both in browser and the GOG client with no luck.

Grargar: What if you try to add it alongside another game and then remove that other game during checkout? Still an issue?

Ice_Mage: Works for me. That's the behavior of a region-locked game. Try adding it to your wishlist. If that also fails, then that's probably what the problem is.
Note that while you can't buy region-locked games directly, you can redeem gift codes for them. Maybe someone in the community gifting thread will buy it for you before the sale ends.

Grargar: Hmmm, maybe something changed from the time that you got Terror from the Deep. Can you add any of the other X-Com games? If you try to add the first Army Men or any of the Hidden and Dangerous games, do you get the same behaviour? If yes, then X-Com is now region-locked for South Africa.

Ice_Mage: Can you add X-COM: Terror from the Deep to your cart now? I believe this affects all classic X-COM games, but not Enemy Unknown, The Bureau, or XCOM 2.

AlmostAHero: Nice catch, you're both right - can't add any of those, and I can't purchase TFTD either anymore. What a bummer. I suppose I only need TFTD technically but it would have been nice to have the original.

Thanks for the help. What a weird choice re: region-locking but I suppose common sense rarely drives these decisions.
