I'm not too much of a technical guy. Dunno really what any of these mean. The only thing I've tried is changing the file names to something shorter, and installing to a location other than the default. I'm too dimwitted to have any other ideas. Help would be appreciated.

It's not a Windows 10 issue if that's what your suggesting. If the game had a Windows 10 compatibility issue it would be very well known.

Did you use the offline installers? You might have gotten a bad download. Try the Galaxy version or redownload everything. If you're actually on Steam just verify the game cache. Also make sure your GPU drivers are up to date.

regardless from the installation location of the game, how much space did you have free on your C: drive?
For Ghostrunner, if you don't install it on C:, you should have at least ~22 GB free. If you install it on C: then it should be ~43 GB.

I mentioned my OS because in my experience people generally want various details when trying to resolve a problem.

At any rate, thanks goes to Gognarok, I didn't know I needed double to space in order to actually do the installation.

you are welcome :-)
i had the same issue and seen that the installation uses the temp folder on the system drive for the extraction of the game data files. Unfortunately the Installer has no error handling routine for this case.
Thanks, I had the same problem.
