Win official Witcher jigsaw puzzles and wolf head medallions!

We have a couple more gifts to hand out before our 5th birthday celebration comes to an end. For starters, just to spoil you all, we're giving away a free copy of The Witcher: Enhanced Edition with every purchase on GOG.com, until Thursday, October 17 at 9:59 AM GMT. If you haven't had the chance yet to meet Geralt of Rivia, the white-haired monster slayer, this is your most affordable ticket to the Witcherverse. That's not all, however. CD Projekt RED was kind enough to share some official Witcher merchandise with us, and we want to give it all away to you, dear users! But, as you may have expected, this does not come without a challenge.

Are you good with pixel-art? This competition is perfect for you! We want to see your Witcher-related pixel-art. Be it scenes, character's, classic 2D or isometric, 8-bit or 16-bit palette, invented game screen-shot mock-ups--it's up to you. There are two important rules: your image needs to be up-scaled x2 (that means 2x2 pixels) after it's done, so it can be viewed without too much squinting, and the resulting up-scaled image must be no larger than 600x600 pixels in size. Apart from that, it's all you and your creativity!

The two top submissions win the official Witcher beautiful jigsaw puzzles, and a code for $9.99 GOG.com game. Three runner-ups get Witcher wolf-head medallions and a $5.99 GOG.com game. You have time until Monday, October 14, at 9:59AM GMT to submit your work in the forum thread below. Good luck, and have fun!

Notice: You retain rights to your submitted work, but by entering the compo you grant us the right to present your submission on our site and social media channels (with all due credit, of course).

Perski: Hiho, it's my entry.
DawnBringer palette - 16 colors - original size 300x300 (zoom x2 to 600x600).
2D Witcher Pixel Edition, why not? :D
I hope you like it :)
... and I think we have a winner. Bloody brilliant.

Are you sure that's only 16 colours, though? I'm pretty sure I counted a few more tones in there. Either way, it's minimal palette used in the best possible way -- very impressive.

Johanz: Ah phew, finally done. Wish I had more time to tweak Geralt and the UI! But oh well! This is my submission anyhoo!

Original size: http://i.imgur.com/5NTeowC.png 300x300 px

X2 size: http://i.imgur.com/0KV46WB.png 600x600 px (this is also the image attached)

Decided to do a scene where Geralt brews a potion using his alchemy skills! Really hard for me to to satisfying environments in pixel art so this was a fun and tough challenge!
Yours is excellent as well! Looks like the judges for the contest won't have an easy job.

A shame that there's no actual retro 2D Witcher game.

Hello!
This is my entry to the competition. I just wanted to do something actino-y with Geralt in a cool pose and came up with this. Original resolution was 300x300 and scaled it up to 600x600. Hope you like it =)

edit: the floor looked too rough so I decided to add some last minute tiles before the time limit goes out. Hope I don't regret it later on, haha

Here's mine! I would love to play a point-and-click Witcher adventure :) No time to make an elaborate background, I had too much fun making the characters :D

The first one has around 50 colors and the gif version is 16 colors...completely forgot about the color limit!

damn. there are some obsurdly talented people in this joint.
Nice contest! I only have one but I scaled it smaller the second time just to make it more pixel-y for fun. This one was fun.

There have been a ton of interesting entries to come out of this one.

Picking winners will be harder than ever.

OK, heads up: this is the FINAL HOUR to get your entry into the contest!
Hello, here's my entry.

I wanted to work more on it, but of course, I'm out of time. If animation isn't allowed, I guess you could just take the first frame from it as my submission. I present to you pixel Zeugl. Hope you like it.

Simauskas: Hi everyone. Here's my submission.

Good luck all!
A little late to the party, I'm afraid. Too bad, as this is one of the nicest entries. I can't allow you to enter the main contest, but some kind of consolation prize might happen for you, if The Enigmatic T agrees.

No more entries beyond this point, please.
Awesome!

It will be awesome to see who won this! Man, I love the contests on GOG.com, always fun and full of creative people. Good luck to everyone! :D

Also, where will the winners be announced? In this thread?
REDACTED

Bah, missed the competition.

And when I look at some of these entries, I don't mind at all that I did. I would've had zero chance against a lot of these... Great job everyone.
