Hmm, bug or feature? I'll give this a while to decide, but thanks for posting here!

Tbh, I hope for a bug. I find it pretty annoying already ;-)

Should be a bug (it's not consistent).

Hmmm... is it something on my end, or is GOG now using a new font type which is not fully capitalized? (e.g. in the names of games)

No it's Gog. Johny messaged me to say they had started using proper capitalization in the chat so I could remove the feature from AF, so I assume they have changed it elsewhere too.

Good to know, thanks!

And thanks to GOG for finally implementing a long-requested feature like chat decapitalization. :)
Woo, don't have to retype game names if I want to copy a longer one somewhere anymore :)

Not just Chat -- I noticed a couple days ago that it's pretty much site-wide (most everything store- and account-related, anyway; I don't think it affected the Community sections, and AFAICT, the new Support section is unaffected, as well).

I know there was somewhere you could easily copy game titles from (don't remember if library or store page) that would give you the actual variable-case text when you pasted it; it was just displayed on the site in an all-caps font, not actually written in all caps.

Nice find, thanks for the heads-up. Does anyone know when the change happened, for me to create an correctly dated change entry.

Johny messaged me yesterday, that's all I know.

Technically, it wasn't the font. I remember poking at it and seeing uppercased names in the page source, which means they were calling .upper() or toUpper() or whatever (I have no idea what GOG's written in) on the server.

(I always thought that was a bit strange, given that the proper solution is to send properly-cased text and apply "text-transform: uppercase;" in CSS. That way, you get that all-uppercase look with any font, but copy-paste works properly.)

They certainly did use CSS for some things (like the Chat) because that's how I was fixing it with AF, but I'm not sure what they used in the library or game pages (or where ever else they had capitalised things)
Most of game titles were capitalized in the template. (server-side) That's why uppercased titles were copied.
