I think the GIFs that GOG puts in the promotional emails look bad. Every time I see one I just want to hit delete. I think a quality still image or a few stills would look better than a pixelated, dithered GIF. A YouTube link could provide a better presentation.

Does anyone agree or even care?

I actually like that they include those gifs. The quality's sufficient for me. Might be better, but then they would require more effort and take more space and whatnot, and either way I think there are real issues to handle before doing anything about that, if anything needs to be done even.

I find their emails to be so difficult to read that I usually just delete them straight away.

Given the propensity of the forum to show gogbears, I think the classic "under construction" animated GIF would fit right in.

Then again, it might falsely imply they are working to improve the forums.
