Perhaps the worst decision in gaming history to not hold off on legacy consoles. Hell console games sometimes wait many years before they come to PC. On PC the game is no more buggy than any other new release. And instead of making it better they are now spending their time on 7 year old legacy consoles. Come on Man...
What is so sad to me is what a good game it is. The graphics, the endless ways of combat, the missions, all deserving lots of attention and comments and all we hear is HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE.
Whoever made that decision for legacy console release is at fault.

Hey, it can't be as bad as my decision to stick purely with Nintendo consoles until after the Wii was dead and buried.

I never really got into it. Shame I missed the part when you get to pilot the Mecha. Loved the first Xenoblade, though.

True. I actually went to buy a Switch after I played BOTW on the Wii U and got BOTW again for that system.
It is superior in every way except for the motion controls. The Wii U had much more precision in that regard.

Today, I keep it around for backwards compatibility with Wii games and Wind Waker.

Eh, I have medium sized library of good Wii U titles. Not everything worth playing has had a Switch port (yet). It had some great games, Nintendo just failed at marketing it for the most part. They utterly failed to communicate it was the "Wii 2" and not just a peripheral.
It's a great emulation system if you hack it and the gamepad's hardware is way better than the Switch joycons.
