I don't know if you guys will see this, but to you, and anyone who cares (probably no-one =D), at last... thank you for this awesome game!!!

I am not a very sentimental person, but this was one of the first games my dad got me for our PC, way back when I was like 8 or 9 years old.

Like a few others who commented on the page, I actually joined GoG looking for this specific game to begin with.

I have tried so many crappy fixes to get something working, always ended up faulty. Last time I checked was like, September/October, and literally just sat at work waiting for my shift to end, and it just popped in my head to check again.

I nearly freaked out, and now cannot wait to get home. I've already cancelled plans to meet up with a few work colleagues so that I can just play and enjoy it =D

Thanks again, my patience is rewarded. Now there's only Ancient Conquest to go, and I can die happy ^^
And I remember how I played Warlords 2 like crazy, back then I thought there was nothing better than it (Warlords 1 was also good but not THAT good). And with that fond memories about first two Warlords games I hesitate to make a purchase for unknown reasons, waiting for something maybe for grand holiday sale, I don't know. It would *kill me* if the game gets a sudden delisting.
Just to note, the original warlords (Amiga version I believe) is on the istore so you can play it on the go on iPad! Happy days!
Yup, I was waiting and waiting and waiting for Warlords to come here... and it actually happened! :) I couldn't believe my eyes, too.
I did post in the support forum for WL3:DLR, and checked on a scenario map that the Hidden Map and Fog of War worked...

But I'm almost sure the campaigns had Hidden Maps/Fog of War in them. After not playing for so long, I am going to do all the campaigns again, and just onto the second map of Bane's Revenge, but both maps are fully revealed and there's no Fog of War.

I could be remembering wrong, or later maps in other campaigns have them, but I do distinctly remember going through a caslte you had to reveal. I did try tinkering with setting and difficulty.
A quick search says about fog of war in campaign maps:

"Not without modifying the campaign files - almost ever map in the camapign is set to have Fog of War disabled. If I recall, the only locations that have FoW are some missions in the Realm of Plague and the Ssrathi jungles (simulating a dense forest that obstructs vision)."

I can't speak for the expansion, but the base Warlords 3 campaign had several maps where Hidden Map was active. Saving the elves in the forest, saving the Dwarves in their mines, launching your assault into the realms of Death, and assaulting Bane's fortress all used Hidden Map. Fog of War wasn't active in any campaign map, though.
I likely put a hundred hours in Warlords II on a mac in my school library when I was supposed to be studying.

Good times.
