GastonArg: because you need to set your profile to public (at least once a week), it is a steamgift requirement, so everyone can see what games you have to prevent scams.
avatar
gbaz69: Also, steamgifts requires you to own, like $120 in non-bundle games to even use their site :/ no way to check unless they know your library.
didn't knew that :O

Not true. Check the FAQ. Requires a game value of $100 and doesn't care if that came from bundles. No way to tell the difference anyhow.

Well I got the amount wrong, but I'm pretty sure it knows what is in a bundle :/ and gives it zero worth for sign-up (it has a list to compare it to).
Not true at all. When I signed up, everything on my account was a bundle of some sort. Besides, with all the 75% or 90% discount games, what's the difference anyway?

Now when you sign up bundle games do not count toward account value.
The difference is they have a bundle list.
I signed up last week. Besides, read the FAQ on the site. There is no mention of bundle games at all. The only reason they do this, they say, is to prevent people from making multiple accounts to get double the entries and having a $100 value cap would make someone have to waste money to do this. I'm just trying to stop the spread of bad information. And having two people spread the same misinformation doesn't make that information correct.

Thank you.
Seriously. When I signed up the only things on my Steam account were:
Left 4 Dead 2 (free from X-mas) - when I opened my Steam account.
Sid Meier's Humble Bundle
and Groupee's Build a Bundle 8

That was enough to join SteamGifts last week. You be the judge...

I've added more bundles since (can't beat 50 cent games), but at the time of joining that was it.
