Sounds reasonable. In either case, if the person did redeem the gift, Ian's entire transaction has been completed. If not, doing a code drop sounds about right as the person will not be able to do anything about it.

What I don't understand is what do people gain by not validating their gift? At the most they will have less gifts to play for as people gets tired of gifting I really don't get some peoples behaviour

I'm afraid that I have little to add to this conversation that hasn't already been said. I have only given away a handful of games on SG (eight), but have not had any issues getting the games redeemed. I can't remember any gift lasting more than a day before it was.

I only give away to the Gog Gift Club and even then I put a contributor value on it. I'm not sure if the contributor helps or not, but at least I know that way that people know how SG works...

I´m cleaning my games bank, and have some Steam codes to giveaway. They are from bundles or promos, so prolly everybody have them already.
