Nope. Just one per post though.

jonno85: Anybody out there feeling particularly psychic/skilled in tea leaves/palm reading/astrology/fortune cookies in regards to when we might see Shadowman?

Missed it the first time round... worried I'll miss it again due to my plans being to finish work and go to sleep and try to get over this damned cold.
You can get Shadowman for one cent if you want it right now, as it's part of the Weekly Humble Bundle and included on the PWYW tier.

Hazay: Alright, free Hammerwatch! I can't believe I've managed to score 2 freebies so far in this sale. My luck seems to be improving.
avatar
donsanderson: I would say! Took me 39 buys to get 2 freebies.
Good one. ;)
Hey, thanks. I've only bought about 13 so far, I'm just killing time here hoping for Star Control to show up again so I can call it a day.

Tarnicus: It definitely doesn't. Let me illustrate:

Scenario 1: Continually beg and maybe get a few games('a few' could be 10, 20, etc), give nothing back and become known as a leech. Sure do what others do, create multiple accounts, manipulate rep and make that your "game". It's quite a lonely one and you'll "get" what you've asked for, i.e a bunch of codes to games that don't have much tangible value(depending on your values in life).

Scenario 2: Participate in discussions(which I've seen you do) helping others where you can, grabbing games for them when you are able to and being part of a community. Notice how many newcomers from this sale have said "Wow I've never seen an online community like this!" and words to a similar effect. There is a reason for that. This community has been built with love, starting with those who created GOG and the wonderful members the nature and purpose of this site attracted, which was to provide a service for DRM free games(originally resurrecting the classics on modern machines and continuing to support them) at a reasonable price. It was created due to a LOVE of gaming. That fostered and nurtured this community. Becoming an active member of this community(and I've had a few breaks for months but for some reason people remember me...) is worth FAR more than you'll ever get from begging for a few games.

The choice is yours :)

I understand that there are language and cultural differences with members on this site and that can lead to confusion about what is "appropriate" (differs from person to person) but I can guarantee you that already you've rubbed people up the wrong way by continuing to beg and then revelling in your "loot".

Ungunbu: ehhhmmmm... it was just $1.5 :p

EDIT
and i promise i'll repay the community as soon as i refill my paypal ;) say it was just a loan :p
Yeah, and weakly defending your behavior and putting an emoticon at the end doesn't do anything to make people like you more. In fact, it's worse now that you're just reminding people of it again.

You could have just as easily have said, "Thanks, I didn't realize my behavior was frowned upon, I'll knock it off and be more respectful".

What makes your new statement more annoying is that, you're right, it was only a buck-fifty, yet you kept begging for it all the same.

vulchor: http://www.theguardian.com/technology/2014/may/14/firefox-closed-source-drm-video-browser-cory-doctorow

This is the article I read regarding it. Very disappointing.
"In my long-running discussions with Mozilla’s most senior management over this issue, they’ve been clear in their belief that their userbase – and relevance to the internet – will dwindle unless they add support for viewing Hollywood movies in their browser. Not just Hollywood; the BBC has been one of the major “rights holder” voices calling for the addition of DRM to the web."

"Mitchell Baker, the executive chairwoman of the Mozilla Foundation and Mozilla Corporation, told me that “this is not a happy day for the web” and “it’s not in line with the values that we’re trying to build. This does not match our value set.”

But both she and Gal were adamant that they felt that they had no choice but to add DRM if they were going to continue Mozilla’s overall mission of keeping the web free and open."

What a crock of shit. Adding DRM keeps the web free and open? that's one of the most ridiculous things I've EVER read.
Come on Gauntlet fans, where ya'll at? Hit that buy button! I did.

Yes and no. There is no limit to the amount of +1's you get for people up-repping your posts, but you only get the bonus +1 for your first post of each day. I hope that made sense.

Edit: Whoops, I misread what you posted, thought you said 'get' not 'give"

Senteria: I am at my parent's place where they have internet. At my own place I lost internet due to neighbour's moving out. How am I going to get my new games back to my place. I know I got two microSD cards. 1x 2, 1x4 gb and one 8 gb usb stick. It's going to be tough.
The USB sticks will be your friends in this situation..

FYI, just because you mentioned it--using someone else's Wi-Fi WITHOUT their permission can be prosecuted as a federal offense for "unautorized use" of a computer system, a law form 1984 (not the book). Remember, with legal issues, your opinion about whether a law is lame or not is irrelevant, so the "Well if they didn't encrypt it, it's LIKE they were welcoming it" doesn't fly legally. For all I know, your neighbors invited you personally to use it. Your post just reminded me of the topic.

Also, if the neighbors are doing something illegal over the internet and you're on their Wi-Fi LAN, you'll get an eye turned toward you for a moment or two. Heck, I don't like having my name on the ISP account unless I can make sure that my roommates are restricted from downloading anything...unseemly.

Anyway, that's all way off-topic, but you rattled my thinking. If you can get to a Target shop or similar office supply, some 1TB external HDD's are as cheap as $70. If you can't afford that, perhaps a larger USB stick.

Good, maybe they'll DRM all those stupid ads and I won't be able to watch them.

Somehow the tone of what you quoted makes me wonder if the article was originally posted on the Onion...
