Deals so good, you won't want to fall asleep.
You remember back when you used to walk into a store, browse the shelves, pick out a game, and then buy it--all in the actual real world? We don't know about you, but most of us at GOG.com have had our limbs atrophy to small vestigial nubbins since all of our shopping happens online these days. Of course, one thing that sometimes happens in real world stores with real world goods--particularly when they have a good sale--is that they run out of stock. Usually that means that the deal was so good that they couldn't keep up with demand.

Well, in the digital realm, this is usually pretty rare. How do you run out of stock on digital games, short of entropy devouring the universe? Well, we have gotten 101 games that will be on sale on the front page of GOG.com, but the discounts are so high at the moment that we can't just sell an unlimited number of copies of these games: we are only able to sell a few at these discounts--up to 80% off--and once they're gone, they're gone.

So what games will be on sale in our Insomnia promo? Bestselling classics and new games alike. There will also occasionally be some free games in super limited numbers (like, 20 or 30 copies)--if you're fast enough on the trigger finger to pick 'em up, that is. The deal will run from now until we're out of "stock" of games for the sale, and games may show up more than once. So it's time to bathe in a tub of coffee*, dip some espresso**, snort an energy drink***, or do whatever else it takes to stay up so you don't miss out on the best deals on fantastic games on GOG.com since summer.
*This is probably not a good idea
**This is definitely not a good idea
***This is totally safe, though****
****NO IT'S NOT WHAT ARE YOU DOING YOU CRAZY PERSON

Schemilix: Just to clarify, I did mean that a bot would render the entire thing totally useless. I'm aware that it's a representation of what others think of you and some people put more or less stock in that, but it is easily exploited and once exploited, pointless.

gscotti: After what happened here to Ungunbu, it's hard to put any value in it. The man went from +1 to -5 in a matter of minutes (15-16 minutes) all while being completely OK.
I actually haven't been keeping an eye on it much. I don't know how it changes and according to how many votes so it really does mean very little to me on that basis; I don't understand the quantities.

+1 my friend XD

Oofles: The way you are saying these things leads to them coming off as a threat. Just stop talking about scripts and bots and don't ask for points. Those seem to be the main things people give ' - ' for.
avatar
Ungunbu: well --- it's a little bit of a censor but ok
Not censor, censure. Two totally different things.

You're free to say whatever you like. You should expect people to react to what you say and do, however, just like they do in real-life conversations.

Velgor: Yeah, I"m not a fan of Anime or Manga or whatever... It's just too strange for my tastes. I know a few people who absolutely love it, so it's all a matter of taste.

However, if anyone does any trash-talk about Python, well...them's fighting words! ;)
avatar
CorranHorn: I used to watch cartoons like M.A.S.K, Jayce and the wheeled Warriors, Transformers, il était une fois l'espace (once upon a time, space) just to name a few and I also watched Manga and Anime. There really is some good ones, like Ghost In The Shell (if you like Blade Runner fan like me, watch this movie you won´t regret it).

Monthy Python rules and so does Fawlty Towers, I watch that one so many times one of the best comedies ever made=).
Oh I grew up watching Python and all that with my dad, too, but being born in Japan, I watched all of the cartoons as a kid (Doraimon, Kinikuman, Bikkuriman, even Akira and Lupin III) but maybe it was once I grew up in the United States and saw the weird obsession with Jap culture some people tend to have here, it sort of churned my stomach. It's not an art style I can appreciate at all for whatever reason, it's annoying to my ears, and the fans are a whole other story. I do remember liking Ghost in the Shell a long while back, but I think a friend had to force it on me sometime in high school (probably around 1999) and I recall not hating it and wanting to like it for what it was, but didn't do much for me in the long run.

Some friends of mine love to judge, though, since I'm still riding high on Ren & Stimpy, The Tick, The Simpsons, King of the Hill, Beavis & Butt-Head and because it still makes me smile, all my old Peanuts vhs tapes.
