Apart from the nice pictures, this isn't too indicative of anything. It happened fairly recently, will happen again. Look at the receding arctic ice sheet and despair, if you must.

ciomalau: it looks like milk and chocolate
Or sperm and shit?

On related news, it seems we are getting a "black Christmas" here, ie. no snow. :( It is currently about +5 C degrees, all snow has already melted and it doesn't seem it will be getting colder (nor snow) in the coming days.

If I wanted shitty winters like this, I'd move to UK or Ireland.

Some serious terraforming skills or the map editor would be required for this to happen. :P
Cheers, looks pretty..........snowman time.

We have sand up here too but we are very south of Alaska.

shadow1980jpv: Nice picture!

I haven´t seen this before. Guess, this was inevitable.

Maybe reason of snowfall is due to climate change!
No, in the Atlasian mountains you can do skiing regularly. They are high. However the dunes are probably not that high up, so it's more seldom. At sea level in the Sahara desert it won't snow and climate change will also not make this more probable.
