Lol what's with the soldiers in the closets?
My personal favorite when it comes to sniper levels, is the one from the first Modern Warfare, in stalker's neck of the woods I believe. An even better level is the hilltop outpost defense mission in Vietcong, though that wasn't as much of a sniper level.

The music for the level made it even more horrifying:

Very annoying level. Even knowing exactly where every enemy waits, it's still not much fun for me. You get the same thing later in the game, making your way through the woods. Unless I'm confusing content between the first and second games.

The expansions of Allied Assault you mean?

Have not tried them yet so what do they add other than new guns and levels?

Better graphics, for one. Similar gameplay, similar mission setup. a bit more friendly-NPC (your squad) action. The missions tend to move along a bit faster since the NPCs sort of drive you forward. More importantly, the later titles don't quite as much feel like you're going to encounter the same exact guys in the same exact place each time - though in reality you do. To me, the later titles seem like less of a 'shooting gallery' than the first game does.

For the most part, improvements on the series. Have to say, though, that the first one has some levels that are tough to top. The submarine base is one example from that game. Also must note that I'm stuck near the end of the third game: I'm on foot, nearly out of ammo across the board, and caught in one of those city rubble sniping areas.

You got me thinking I should replay the series. : )

If I might add, the E-packs are really weird and when I played were very inconsistent with lots of problems like the enemies rarely drop weapons that you can use to retrieve ammo, you take damage more easily it seemed (at least on a lot of missions), some missions made no sense (whichever game had the Battle of the Bulge mission, that mission made no sense), and other peculiar problems like that. On the other hand, the levels feel more fighting centered, at least in Italy, and the objectives do get interesting, and the weapons get so much cooler, even when it makes absolutely no sense for an American paratrooper to swap out his 1911 and his M1 for a Webley and a Lee Enfield. This is also where I found out about this curious weapon:

SO, all I wanted to say is, they made me cuss up and down more than base Allied Assault but they certainly were interesting and fun games. Actually, when it really worked, fighting in Italy was much more fun than in France. Hopefully the problems I encountered were unique to me.
