One thing I think steam is doing better is now versus previously.
Games like no man sky might be terrible on launch but significantly improved as of today.

There is no way know anything like recent review vs all review etc.
However, at least provide us the information like "total update / patch" - a number after release
and when is the "last update" - a date for us to better know or judge our purchase
especially the possibility if the game has a rocky start.

Dont you agreed with me? :P

I do agree, but sometimes it feels like GOG can't find their own buttocks with both hand, if you catch my drift.

This has long, long been an issue:

Will it get done, unlikely.

lol, let me go and vote there.

Hey GOG team! Come look at this thread and let's make your customers happier ? :P
this is not gog specific , this problem is in everywhere , outdated and misguided infos :(
It is no doubt on GOG's todo list, but way down in priority, especially with the staffing levels they have and other more important things in need of attention.

I suspect that due to a disconnect between Galaxy game updates and offline installer updates which often lag behind, that Changelog file updates are put on hold, then get lost in the wash.

If you didn't know, you can sometimes also see a Changelog listed at the game's forum page.

P.S. Steam and others have it a bit better, because they only provide one type of download, unlike the two at GOG.

My thoughts exactly. In order to do that the Gog staff would have to learn how to code, but they are not capable of learning it.
