I can't believe that this game arrived on here, for multiple reasons. It certainly can be easily considered a Game of the Year contender, even amongst games such as Bannerlord soon arriving. This game is easily a 10/10 wishlist game.
Truth be told, I have only watched streamers play it, but what I've seen so far has been outstanding to the very least. The game is absolutely brilliant, which is suprising why nobody had this idea sooner.
Cavalary: So what about that connection requirement? Still seeing it listed, and for a game sold on GOG there should be no such thing, for whatever reason...
I do agree with this. While the connection requirement is a safety measure so players can't cheat the game it still is a DRM measure and thus the game does not belong to here. IMHO, 95% of players would still not cheat even if there isn't a connection requirement. Also cheating the game is alos cheating on yourself due to the nature of this game and what it represents. I do think that the developers can thrust the people to not cheat themselves. Not only that, but this method of preventing to cheat is not perfect and people can still manage to hack the game.
This connection requirement is the reason I haven't bought it on Steam yet, or to the very least I am still unsure. But with this said, I could make an exception since its on GOG now after all.
EDIT: As Oddeus wrote, the developers considered removing the internet connection requirement for the GOG version. However, I do wish it would've been comminicated to us here in a better way through either through the GOG -staff or the devs themselves :>!
