Willy the menace.

The Adventures of Willy Beamish, a comedy point & click adventure about the lovably obnoxious kid we've all dreamt of being, is now available, DRM-free on GOG.com!

Willy is a typical nine-year-old rascal of the 90s': He's got a rad tree house, a frog sidekick, mad skateboarding skills, and an all-around mischievous disposition. The summer vacation is just around the corner but before he gets to enjoy it, Willy must handle the school bully, regain his video gaming privileges, and even save the town from a foul-smelling catastrophe.

timppu: So it is not two different versions (e.g. the floppy version in the extras), but there is some kind of launcher letting you select which to play? Is the launcher made by GOG, or was it originally in e.g. the CD version?

Are they running on top of DOSBox, ScummVM or what?
You start the game from your Start menu or Galaxy or desktop shortcut and you greeted with this selection screen in DOSBox
He's checking that Peppita right there <3

tfishell: Thanks GOG and Activision! I'm glad to see we're still getting Activision classics. Besides adventure games there is also Outpost 1 & 2 to release: https://www.gog.com/wishlist/games#search=outpost
Yeah, that would be awesome. Outpost 2 was one of my favorite games back in the day.

I'm thinking about going off on a quantity-wise mad shopping spree followed by a giveaway when/if it shows up here.
Bought! :D

tfishell: Oh, can't forget this Sierra-published classic: Half-Life.
I don't know, I'm guessing there'd be some serious work involved in finding out who owns the rights to that these days. I bet the developer went under long ago, too.

But then how will we ever get Half-Life 3?

What's that? That stopped being funny 13 years ago? Guess that's why this site exists to breathe new life in old things. :D
I remember one of my friends owning the big box version of this way back when, but I never got to play it. I've always wanted to, so this is just fantastic.

2017 is shaping up to be the best year ever for gog in terms of rescuing old games.
Never heard of it but will pick it at some point. That's for sure.

I hope we'll get the Dynamix "Aces" series of flight and submarine simulators here as well, one day
Very nice!
GOG, come on, it's packed with DosBox, so what's the problem with providing Linux version? One relatively simple task for you and a lot of happy and grateful users, who don't have to make additional effort :)

Once again the keyword: Activision. Their entire catalog is Windows-only. They don't give a shit, obviously.
Haven't played this since my father picked up the Sega CD version from Toys R Us. I still remember the glitch I kept encountering where Willy wouldn't exit one of the rooms in the house, and I would end up being sent to military school. So I never did manage to finish. Really looking forward to finally doing so!
JudasIscariot it would be really nice if you could explain in a post somewhere why it's so difficult to get DosBox based games for OSX and Linux, like most of the Sierra catalog except LSL. Or how about having SS2 for OSX, but no Thief or Thief 2, which use the same engine?

Do the publishers really not want you guys to add those options? Do they even care? It's just more money for them, so why not? In terms of work on your end, it'd probably take about a day or two.
Hey! Is that a Superfrog next to Willy?
