The Technomancer and Mars: War Logs are now available DRM-free. Get them up to 75% off until October 10th, 1pm UTC.

Mars: War Logs takes you to Mars, nearly a century after the cataclysm that threw the planet and its colonists into chaos. Water has become the most precious resource on the arid red planet, with a few companies fighting a perpetual war for its control.

The Technomancer is a sci-fi RPG set on Mars, featuring dynamic combat and an epic story line, where your choices will affect the fate of the Red Planet. You are a Technomancer, a formidable warrior harnessing destructive electrical powers. Embark on a perilous journey across a planet torn apart by conflict and infested with mutant creatures.
Welcome onboard Focus Home. Looking forward to the rest of your games coming here.
Nice to see more Spiders' games on GOG. You keep putting them here, and I'll keep re-buying 'em (even Faerie: Legends of Avalon)

Hopefully Cyanide (Of Orcs and Men & Styx) games are next.

tfishell: Of Orcs and Men

Sachys: Which is the first game featuring Styx
ah okay
Both of these games are quite mediocre according to reviews, but I am not the one to complain, especially for these discounted prices.
how on earth do they make such nice looking games for so cheap? gonna have to buy these and give them a go

tfishell: Cool. I kinda wish GOG had spaced these releases out more though, it feels like it's being dumped all at once :P

In any case, I hope this is leading up to Focus' most-desired games, Styx series and Plague Tale. (of course there are still others like Of Orcs and Men) edit: and Greedfall eventually
Until Styx makes it's way here, know that both Styx games are DRM free on that other store.

Mawthra: Now we just need Greedfall to finish the Spiders collection! Fingers crossed

Thanks for these, GOG!
A bit of poison on my blade and LET'S GO!!

QUESTION:

If I just go with one, is Technomancer the clearly superior game? If I remember War Logs, even the early quests had a lot of options to approach them based on the skills you had (being able to talk around a problem or fix something rather than find a part if you had the skill, etc). I'm a sucker for that kind of stuff - does it continue in Technomancer?

Also, is combat in Technomancer action / real time? Or is it more KOTOR / Dragon Age?
Technomancer feels a lot like Bioware RPGs(Dragon Age/ME mix) . Combat is action based though doesnt feel very well done , especially with the fact that enemies respawn after you leave the zone so there is a lot of fighting. Skills sometime affect decision making in the game.

Spiders' early games had fairly primitive level design. Of Orcs and Men had levels that were a bunch of corridors, while Mars: War Logs' cities were a bunch of corridors making up a rectangle of streets, with mandatory combat encounters in some "corners".

They got progressively better: "Bound by Flame" had levels that were approaching Witcher 1 complexity; but these are very much b-tier, low-budget RPGs that tried to emulate both CDPRed and Bioware.

I really like Spiders, and particularly the fact that they kept experimenting with different settings that aren't really your traditional LOTR/D&D or space opera knockoffs; but it's impossible to deny that their ambition often outstripped their budget.

What little I played of GreedFall so far is really impressive. I haven't had a chance to play Technomancer yet, so can't talk about it.

Very nice!
When I saw that only Bound by Flame released here, I bought the others on Steam. Another GOG success story.
Nice. Curious about The Technomancer and was hoping for it to be released on GOG, so that's a buy. And for that price bought Mars: War Logs, too. Glad to see them here.
God tier content. If I hadn't already played both years ago I would get them day one here.
Finally something I m happy to buy.

Lately is a pixel fest only.
Is Mars: War Logs gameplay-wise similar to Bound By Flame? If so, I will definitely buy it. And also seeing the hardware requirements, it seems, it will work on my computer.
