KingSyphilis: Aw man, looks like a load of cruddy "AI" upscaling and texture replacement.
No, they are the original textures in their original resolution. While the console versions had compressed, low-res textures. We are finally getting the game as it was originally meant to look.

Syphon72: I can't complain because Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace is one of my favorite SW games.
Speaking of which, we should have gotten that game on GOG already. I mean, it's its 25th anniversary, for crying out loud. If not this year, when?

i_ni: IMHO, Jango Fett should be cloned forever in all of the know universes. Just saying ...
avatar
viperfdl: Bah, Jango was only a copy/paste of Boba Fett to please the fans of the Original Trilogy.
Well, Boba doesn't rule. (much fine with me, for he took the (heavy?) "sins of the father"). Should have become a doctor(cancer still not curable far away), a writer ("Jango: Never Met Him" biography), or even a scientist/engineer (to improve Mandalorian suite?).

My favorite (obviously): "Boba: A History of a Clone". (cross-referencing the Culkins' story pending)

SilentMRG: And while we're talking about bounty hunters, I think now would be a good time for GOG to bring Mace Griffin - Bounty Hunter to the table: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pnwXi4kh5L8
I second this emotion. Tis a great little game.

Of course it's only playable with Windows 10 or newer... Cause why should I be able to play a 20+ year old game with my Windows 7 machine? Thank you.
Seeing this gives me hope for DROIDWORKS!

It might still run on Win7. Still, i'd wait for someone else to confirm before buying in cases like yours.

Sorry, but you're blind or in denial. This is revisionism.

I've counted numerous instances of texture swapping and alterations that are not present in PS2 or Gamecube releases; it has gone way beyond simple high-res asset restoration. Also, the pre-render cutscenes have been "AI" upscaled to poor effect -- everything appears smeared, e.g. Jango's idiosyncratically pixelated heads-up display screen shows particularly egregious misapplication of smearing.

Any differences between the new PC version and the old PS2/Gamecube versions?

Also how well does this run on Linux?

dyscode: umhmmm ASPYR... uhhmm. After Stubbs was such a turd, I'll cautiously wishlist this for now.

SargonAelther: Stubbs the Zombie is amazing, what are you on about?
besides what P-E-S, said,

let's just say Stubbs is one of the very few games I did not finish because it was too tedious and boring.
Only thing that was funny was that visitor guide robot.

PS: though I god hope this is better, Stubbs as a game got a better average rating on Metacritics than Bounty Hunter.

That is and will always be the problem with humour. It is highly subjective.
I would agree with Sargom here and say objectively there's nothing wrong with Stubbs.

@GOG: I also second the request to stop with the popups. If you plan on continuing this aggressive marketing at least give us an option to turn it off.

Things like art quality and style are also subjective. SW: Bounty Hunter looks decent enough so i'll be picking up a copy when it goes on sale, even if it uses "shoddy AI" like some comments are saying.

Agreed. I just wanted to express that there might be factors (especially in the tech department) that you could call out as being objectively bad while with others we should be aware that they are subjective and therefore we should not just say "it is bad" but rather "I did not like it".

Those are my sentiments as well. I was adding to what you said re: others in here essentially calling the art bad because it's "ai slop".
