GOG sells games appropriate for 16+. Given the content of the game, this is why some of the content was softened. That doesn't mean a mod/patch won't add the missing content. For those interested, there's even a GOGMix with the patches listed - https://www.gog.com/mix/censored_visual_novels

it's like blaming Playboy to only show photos of a model in swimsuit while you know she also did nudes elsewhere... go there then ;) the only one censoring anything are the devs who created a "mild" version in the first place

bansama: Well given how GOG quickly jumped in to host VNs when Steam started threatening censoring them further, if nothing else, it's hugely hypocritical of GOG to then request further edits that Valve didn't deem necessary.

But as for that patch hosted outside of GOG, not all regions can access the site that hosts it.

bansama: So please explain why The Witcher 3 is not censored? How can you not see the hypocrisy in demanding a game aimed at the same age range be censored when another is not? The availability of an off site patch to SOME countries, does not make this biased treatment any better.

You don't see penetration in The Witcher. At no point do you control a sex toy to insert into a character. There's a huge difference between a sex scene and porn, that difference being mainly penetration or graphic images of 'parts'.

AlienMind: Agreed. Still stupid to cut away pieces of a game. You do know these kind of scenes are the goal of those kind of games, right? What's a buildup without a climax. How about the age long topic of introducing an adult only area? This could also be used to sell adult germans games like dying light...
I'll refer to my last comment where I direct people to a gogmix which provides links to the uncensored patch. I'll also refer to my comment which gives you a reply as to why the content was cut.
